Begin Day 2. The clones are doing great after the repotting. Surprised that the soil hasn’t dried out...won’t be watering today. They are about 60” from the QB...should I lower the light
some now?
Definitely lower the light. 18-20” should be adequate to start

Begin Day 3. Wow...the clones are noticibly bigger. The soil is still damp to touch on top...thinking they need to dry out more. I will check a few times today to see if they need water.

Q: this Hawaiian Rainbow Kush is about a week old. I am growing it in coco. Is it ready now for a 3 gallon air pot and the big tent?

I believe the clones will need water tomorrow. I am thinking I will give them each 1/2 gallon (whatever it takes to run outthe bottom) with 1/2 tsp of this new cal mag that I found...it has lotta extra minerals and micronutrients...see label below. Also will give each 1/4 tsp of the Myco Madness (came with the Humboldt kit). That’s all for now. Anybody got any other suggestions?

Noon Day 4. Clones watered with 1/2 t calmag + 1/4 t myco + couple drops Humboldt Golden Tree (❤️ that stuff). Growing fast, imo.

Discussion point: Firefly is a tall sativa. Tent is 6’ tall but I don’t want them to get anywhere near that. Is now the time to start topping? Please give me your best practices on this. TIA

I would anticipate a 3x stretch. If it’s a foot tall and you flip know, it will grow to three feet. If you’re really concerned, you could top it right before flip, defoliate at flip or just tie it down

I am going to read up on “tie down”...thanks!

Started the LST today on the clones. Plan is to have the top grow around the pot horizontally and tie down any other main branches in the same way. Look ok?

The bonsai mother is needing a root/top trim...it is wilted every morning so guessing rootbound...

LST question: does this look right? Training them to grow around the top of the pot but it sure looks wild. Open for recommendations.

Tie it like a clock. If you have four tops, then tie them at 12-3-6-9, etc. does the make sense? The way you have it now is more like a bonsai for a mother plant

ok, so I have branches pulled across like that now but the main top is long and is already growing around the top of the pot. I just have to break apical dominance, right! is it ok to trim off a few leaves if those are above the new canopy line?
