Im starting a journal because its spring and ive been posting in the trainwreck a lot.

If you don't know me feel free to ask questions about the plant or genetics or anything.

Got this tent 3 days into 12/12. Psychedelic Banjo, Banjo x Haymeadow purps, Haymeadow Purps, and a PB3 (peaceblaster #3)

Got this tent at about 3-4 weeks into flower. Not exactly sure how long since 12/12. These plants were trash bagged and moved a couple hours to a new place a week or two ago too. Got light nute burn from loading em up heavy so I didn't have to feed em during the move. They'll be fine

Freakshow autos, strawberry gorilla autos. Some are regs, and some are fems. Some will be sprayed down and brought in, some will be put in ground, some will prob be culled.

Beautiful 11 fingered leaf from a PB2 x hay meadow male in hoping I can get some spring reveg pollen from to run a Haymeadow backcross in the tent that's 3 days into 1212

I got 5 males out in the weeds. I'll get a good pic of em eventually. It's a bit of a trek to em.

Hey man, do you have a Peaceblaster X Okie cross? Glad the old garbage bag move worked out!!! 👍🏼
I do not. But I could make a peaceblaster/Haymeadow/Cman x okie thing happen on pretty short notice, as far as making seeds goes anyway lmao

Thinking I prob won't be keeping a clone of this Haymeadow purps female. She pretty, but she grows like a male lmao. I'm just gonna start pruning her to Bush her out then flower her in the next batch of indoor plants.

I got a sun burned Haymeadow purps male that looks like a lady too. Seems like they must get down with some freaky shit. Sorry for dirty cinder-brick wall. I'm not cleaning it. Moved him out to the weeds today. Didn't think about the white wall while weaning him Into sun. Was a bit much for him. Photone says 7200pffd at patio level next to the block wall mid day 😬

I got a couple little projects happening this season courtesy of some cats on icmag, that are gonna remain unposted until i know theyre going to pan out. Gonna have to geurilla them in less then ideal locations, but i think i can make it work. Some of you guys already know what they are though.

I have seeds that I'm sure were self seeded from my purple Frostberry last year.
How close to the original parent do you think they will be?
Just asking about the odds.

Six pack on the right are purchased seeds.
Six pack on the left are S1 (I believe) from last year.

More or less identical. Likely added vigor from the seeds developing in real sunlight too. If it was a semi stable plant they all be pretty remarkably similar in my experience.

Keep an eye out for males. There's lots of wild hemp up there in southern Michigan/northern Ohio/Indiana. And it doesn't evenly pollenate a crop of unique plants because every plant will have a different level or fertility and sensitivity to pollen being present

Where you live, and if you didn't see any male/hermie parts, i would assume hemp pollination could def be a possibility. How close was that make ya missed in the extras to that frostberry last year?

If they're all females, and self polenated from a somewhat stabilized plant, you can expect more or less a bunch of damn near identical females to the original, just with varying degrees of vigor.

The difference in vigor that you're looking at though is likely the difference between seeds grown outside vs inside. And freshness. Outdoor grown seeds are generally a lot more viable, produce bigger seedlings much quicker. Pretty much across the board. I always prefer to make as many seeds outdoor as possible. (In my experience this is a solid fact, I've actually never had a seed making experience to the contrary)

It's very very rare I don't see 100% germ rates on healthy seed grown outdoors.

First Gen s1s are great seeds to hunt. On the first generation of self-pollinating you usually don't even see a raised hermaphrodite rate. But like I said, I don't know anyone that's grown in the Midwest, included, that doesn't end up with wild hemp seating some of their plants sometimes.

Self-pollinated seeds don't usually get too wonky or higher harm your risks until 2nd/3rd gen of self pollination. Some of the most popular club strains of all time were s1 self polenated originally

but yea, if those are indeed self pollenated s1's, and the seeds developed in real sunlight planted in real earth, they will absolutely 100% produce better plants faster then the same seed developed under a grow light or salt fed bound by a container. And yes, chances are itll make a better plant sooner then the original seed did itself. nature knows what she's doing a lot better then we know what she's doing. You will probably have multiple plants from those you like more then the original so long as they arent hemp pollenated seeds. Almost guaranteed lol

Sunlight grown is where its at for seed though. 100%.

You know, with all this talk of hemp on here as the summer gets closer, I’m starting to think there has to be wild hemp up somewhere towards the Greenhorns and Breckenridge Peak. It’s all dense back country and the Central Valley has recently become a hotspot for hemp production. I’m going to have to go exploring this weekend and see what I can find.

I think they're selfed because they flowered very early,(I f*ck up with timing the LED lights) before any males "I found" in the general population showed themselves.

long as they all go female and appear pretty consistent thwey were def self pollenated.

If you end up with males, def assume wild hemp pollen, but its def far more likely theyre self if they had a spring reveg thing going on
