I assume so, given that we're talking about a cat and a horse here.

I'm assuming that the various cannabinoids have an effect on animals as well. For example, in Bhutan cannabis is used primarily as pig feed, for fattening them up.

A friend's puppy got up onto the counter, nibbled her way through the plastic bag and ate part of a batch of brownies.
She was rolling on the floor pissing herself for the night but never ever got up on the counter again.

Damn, that's some serious shit. Any idea what is happening on the chemical level with that?
I know cannabis is non-toxic for humans and I just assumed it was generally benign for all animals. But, humans can eat huge amounts of raisins and chocolate that would likely kill a dog so I know there are differences. I am very curious about what it is in the cannabis and what systems of the animal gets poisoned. I know a lot of us on the Farm have dogs and this is news to me. I did read, elsewhere, that cannabis was not harmful to dogs. So, I am looking for some clarity on this issue. If it is toxic, I'd like to find out what remedy there is available for accidental ingestion by my dogs.

chocolate, raisins, onions, macadamia nuts, cannabis, my favorite shoes... all of these things and more are TOXIC on varying levels for doggies.

G'Afternoon, y'all. My tomato's must think they are part yoyo's. Had to put them back into the garage again due to temps going down to near freezing tonight and upper 20's tomorrow night. :arghh: With a bit of luck I can take them back out Saturday. It's a real PIA moving 30 to 40 5-gallon plastic buckets in&out& in& out.o_O
Years ago my APBT's taught me to secure my canna in a place they can't get to it at. She ate 2 Z's of some Christmas bud on me. After she was done having it come out both ends she slept like a log.

And we are assuming the vets were correct about what actually killed that horse and dog

But I hope we can find out more about dogs and cannabis

Many cannabis lovers also love dogs
We should know if it's not good for them

a quarter of one of those cookies would prob have been double what that animal needed or more, imo. And cookies are high in sugar, gotta bake lil dog biscottis or something with peanut butter and kief rolled in carob and watch the dog love em!

I can vouch for this,My son brought me a brownie from a dispensary he vended to that was supposed to be a double dose but in reality it was like 10 times that because whoever made it fucked up,I was begging my old lady to call 911 but she made me tough it out.I was literally hung over HARD for like 4 or 5 days,I was so pissed i went to give the dispensary owner a piece of my mind but when i got there i found out he had ate the same brownie and went to the ER and they kept him for 2 days!I dont eat edibles anymore, lol.I have no doubt in my mind it could kill a dog.

yeah, i see some downside to these edibles. case in point, i've got these pretty, smell good cookies, and i have grandkids running around. it would be so easy for the young ones to eat them a cookie or two.
plus, like fishwhistle said, the doses are give or take. sounds like it landed the fish in some rough waterso_O.
kinda like fertilizers, start off in small doses.
be safe out there boys.
i better go put the cookies up somewhere tight.....
