down whenever, just let me know. never played but how hard could it be right??? :)
never played or even heard of it , till this thread but i watched a video and it don't look that easy to me .....lol.. was expecting to see like par 8-12 but was 3 -4 -5 on 400 + courses

It doesn't require a shitload of arm strength to throw far. It's all about the technique.

Or so I see; I have buddies who are [NOT bodybuilders] and can throw a disc farther than me. I usually throw my arm halfway off by the end of a round, cuz i don' know no better.

Short and straight beats long and out of bounds, every time!

Yeah, its been a few years since I've played with any consistency. Practice on aim and using all the disks at your disposal to save your arm for the last few holes. At least that's my goal once this f'ing wind stops.

Soooo I talked to Paulie and he runs the Phantom Falls, Bucksnort saloon, and magic meadows courses. Phantom falls and the bucksnort courses are beginner to intermediate courses, 250 yards average on a hole.

Phantom falls is 39 holes, has more and closer amenities as the course brings you back by the main house every 5 or so holes. more smoking areas and bathrooms. Customary donation of $20 a head cash.

bucksnort is 22 holes, more like a traditional course with a couple of amenities. less smoking areas and bathrooms. Customary donation of $15 a head cash.

Both courses have only one tee time at 10am with a guided tour before hand. We will have the place to ourselves.

The courses are 420 friendly but we must smoke only in designated areas.
I didn't ask, he just said it. My kinda guy.

Paulie told me the closest no amenities camping is going to be at buffalo creek. Beaver ranch (across Foxton road from Reynolds park) has cinder block cabins, bathrooms, and fire pits. Buffalo creek is about 4 miles and beaver ranch is about 12 miles.

If we end up doing one of these courses we should bring a little sumpn' sumpn' extra for Paulie, I have a feeling he might really appreciate it.

There are some events posted for PF and bucksnort courses below. Unfortunately I think May 31st is booked at PF.

Feel free to post questions, I will call Paulie and ask any question you want.

I shot 2 over at Cottonwood Creek on Sunday. Started with 4 birds and fell apart. I don't think you guys have to worry about me, lol! Cottonwood is an easy course, especially for lefties or side-throwers.

HELLS YEAH I'M IN!! Phantom is nice & owner is way cool, there is also Ghost Town up near central city area the owner there is also very cool. Colorado Heights College on s. Federal in Denver is also private & a nice course. Look 4ward 2 seeing everyone there!!!!!

As soon as weather gets consistently nice if anyone wants 2 play in Denver area @ 4:20 on Tuesdays or every other Tuesday. P.M. me and we can get a group goin. We would switch up courses weekly.

I can tell you right now, based on terrain up there, none of these courses will be 'easy' (compared to some flat ass courses in Denver). But should be fun. Found a vid on UTube.

Man, I can't wait for it. Probably gonna have to bring some extra disks to replace the ones I snap right in half on all the trees.

CAN'T WAIT

I thought Pueblo was difficult... sheesh this course looks like a blast (ish). Love me some elevated tees!
Widefield had some kind of tournament going on Sunday; my girl and I played around it.
The ball is rolling, guys. Final date and location will be announced soon.

I was thinking we could do an individual tourney, and maybe also a best ball/ team competition.
We should have a meeting soon for anyone who wants to be involved with planning. I was thinking a Sunday afternoon. Anybody else have suggestions or ideas?

A sunday sounds good. I'm in the hills and get all kinds of bad things down in the flats- turrets syndrome, hives, irritable bowel syndrome, fuck off syndrome... in the sticks would be good for me but alas, I can swing down for an afternoon if that suits most others better.
Not this sunday... next or next or next?

Let's pencil it in for the 22nd at BuckSnort. Maybe play a round and enjoy a brew at the Saloon while we discuss ideas.

Man..I'm going to be out of town or else I would be there.

What time r u aiming for? I would b interested in meeting up @ Bucksnort to help w/ planning.
