Ya I big into recycling my soil and I like mine fluffy with perlite and vermiculite. I'll boost it and let it bake for a couple days in a big igloo cooler. As far as bugs go I haven't had any problems but if your bringing air in from outside then that's what you gotta be careful with. Knock on wood but my only problem with bugs has been fucking gnats either came with some new soil or was just flying around and found its way to the tent. They reproduce worse than rabbits lol

So never get soil that's stored outside and even inside shake it a bit and see if any gnats escape out the holes

600 hps is what I'm running now but I think I want to change it up , how do those run heat wise?

not too bad so far,hotter than my leds,but,I've still got those both running at the moment.when my second light arrive ,I'll move leds out and try with just the two cmh 315s. I'll let you know how I go.if it's too hot ,I'll suck it out and blow it through another phresh filter..

that's,damp soil.let it dry out between watering.makes a big diff.

I'd seriously go for the medi 1, for my first grow...so,so easy.pure organi ,one part,right through..some of the best bud I've ever seen was grown with it.have you watched Johnny B on YouTube.he swears by it. My pal @420lyfePPP he's used it..and his gear is amazing.

My shits on the fritz I swear double posting lol I've heard nothing but great things about med 1 also still haven't tried it yet . I guess I just figured if it's not broke don't fix it lol. But there's alot of good shit out there these days just have to run it and see what you like .

Plus one time I tried some new shit that Gage green swore by and had terrible results with the same strain the cycle before and I followed the instructions to a tee and it was designed specifically for bud . So I just get Leary going outside the box anymore.

But we all can definitely agree on some main points , lighting , ventilation, over watering, over feeding, under feeding, temps, Co2 and genetics play a huge role in the end product.

But some things I've learned over the years is how you use the nutes and being able to let the plant tell you what it needs. I've seen amazing results with basic miracle grow because the farmer had the dosage dialed in and the room dialed in. That's why med 1 is appealing cuz it has the dosage figured out for you witch is great . But keep in mind I've had strains that demanded more secondaries than others so it wouldn't hurt to have some on stand bye that's where reading your plants are important.

bio wars,caps gear is good tackle.i use a few different bennies.but as a foliar,I bubble some beetle frass for an hour or two,strain it,spray it.whats left water em with...good stuff,real cheap.great soil additive too.

Yes frass is great! Kiek turned me into that. Get it on Amazon, another new thing I found is rice hauls. Keeps the soil loose, adds trace silica, composted mushroom soil is great to use also
