Hey farmers.

Just to say, I seam to have some real nasty fucker of a virus on my PC. Its screwing loads of things up. I have already formatted once today, and gonna do it again now.

So if I am sporadically online in the next few days, i apologuise.

Hopefully be back on line in the next hour.

Had same probs 2 times this year and it made me crazy, I'm not a computer freak and will never be. At the end I bought 2 new computers and asked a friend who works with it, to check everything and look every 3 weeks with it, since then I'm fine.

Mine seems fucked too, way way too slow and when i click on a new page if there are any images on that page it comes up with the writing to the photo instead, for instance even the quote, MQ and QR signs at the bottom come up as normal lettering?

A mac eh, gather they make laptops, have been looking at Dell XPS but i ain't got a bloody clue what im lookin for in a laptop, mainly for going on ere so i want the pictures to look shit hot and for storing tiling patterns on to show customers, typing out invoices that sort of shit, just want something where i ain't gotta wait cos this is starting to remind me of dial up, lol

But this second format has helped non.

I even killed the machine from the mains incase the virus is memory resident, but it appears to be boot sector.

I think I have the doubleclick virus, left mouse botton wierd in ms apps, cant double click etc, cant select shut down computer, lose of priviledges. Really odd. But as this appears to be boot sector and nothing is finding the virus, I think I will have to format all drives and delete all. Unless I can get the data off on a non windows machine, perhaps have to install ubuntu linux and fiddle for a while.

Would love a mac, but a have a new puppy on route that is gonna be taking priority financially, and every other aspect of life, LOL. Cant wait.

In the meantime check out either knoppix or ubuntu live, or BackTrack3 (my fave) for getting your data off safely....then nuke from orbit....

I had Vondo, which was a major pain in the arse to rid myself of....formatted and all is joy. Try a few different virus scanners....Symantec Corp Edition ftw...that's the only one that even saw Vondo....McAfee et al. all ignored it....

format isnt enough, use a good low level eraser program like wdclear.
