Really, no comments? Lol

Leaning to

Cropsalt
Mills or
Jacks

Any opions on users of these for rdwc? Specifically taste color and smell? I know jacks is a well known brand with alot of users that have been around along time but recently i have read conflicting things with them pertaining to yields and deficiencies.

Ty all
Good afternoon - What made you drop Athena from the list?

It’s just discussion man, damn.

you’ve had it out for me since day 1 here
Ha ha bro, IT IS NOT EVEN WORTH THE EFFORT TO DEAL WITH YOU. I love your type get a grow done and now you are the bomb. Just keep it real!!!

yeah silicon is ine if thise things that has many uses so while @Anthem os absolutely correct on the form plants uptake i choose to use potassium silicate because of the PH buffering provided and it does slowly break down into sicilic acid for some uptake.

lets take a moment to read my sig and remember we are all here to learn and help one another. To much time wasted arguing in life atleast in my case…. Not sure about you all.

I am aware of this Aqua man but if I am not mistaken you also run bennies, which will over time break down the potassium silicate into a usable form of silica. I believe the person posting the silica product is also running H2O2 so there would not be any bennies to break down the silica.

Good reasoning for photos but if it takes 8 weeks to become bioavailable autos may not see much benefit. The science behind silica is solid but the cost of bioavailabilty is high in $$ and PH stability. Plus if you mix poorly, add in the wrong order and don't adjust PH you can end up with another fine mess to clean up ... I'm still on the fence with this one.

Apologies to the OP for hijacking his thread ....

Add to that if you are starting with a clean system - lots of folks sterilize between grows - you need a good month, more like 45 days to get a colony going again.

It could be one of those things we put in our grows to give us a warm and fuzzy that never actually impacts the plant because it takes too long.

Mills is awesome bud. Verry easy recipe with incredible yields! I would recommend it to anyone to be honest. And I've tried every big bottle company out there. My next favorite in line would have to be vegamatrix. Hopefully you will try the mills. Your mind probably be blown especially being a little newer to the grow scene🤙. U want to grow some resin covered goodness like this😜. As for bennies. Recharge all the way. Then you might get some roots that look like this. Haha. Happy growing!!

5 grows under my belt. so im starting to learn just how little I know. I used JAcks for three runs in DWC. Northeast climate, attic, minimal climate control. I used Raw silica and cheap amazon calmag and greatwhite/orca. Slow veg growth for me, way better results over soil (again for me). No root issues. Slightly brown, but i think it was mostly staining from trying different "boosts". no slime or smell. If you email them, they have an alternate 4/2/1 schedule for flowering if you want to go the extra mile, but I didn't see any difference from the standard 3/2/1 formula in the final yield. In a 20x20x6 spiderfarmer with their 100w light, i got over 120g dried with all grows. Nothing as good as despo weed, but smoked fine and great edibles.

Tried the dutch house and garden aqua flakes a month ago. figured the 9 bottle mix must mean "better". with water temps in 70-74 range, the buckets got slime, smell and pythiam(sp?) instantly. Switched back to jacks.

Waiting for cropsalt. i like that they recommend clorox for sterility. Cheap and easier than hydrogard, UC roots or peroxide. ANy chance someone has gotten cropsalt results?

Yea just RO eater NEVER ph adjust either before or after. Take the ph tester wrap it in paoer then wrap in it 2 rolls if duck tape then a secure lock box and throw the key into the nearest river…. After that into a high end safe and charter an ocean liner to china, make sure you make the trip blindfolded and when you hear waves crashing against rocks push the safe overboard. Leave the blindfold on until you return home.

direct 20 of your closest friends to slap you shoukd you get the urge to treasure hunt…. Only then can you assure yourself you are using them right 😂

i know what your thinking and no i dont need a pass to go outside
Hello, see, is this also applied to coconut with AN using half the strength recommended (ec) by the manufacturer? since I am entering flowering and the ph is approximately 6.47 when I finish preparing the solution with an ec of approximately 1.6.
I always lower the ph to approx 5.9, perhaps without correcting the ph it is better but the range in which it remains makes me doubt.
@Aqua Man thanks for info
