Here we go.. Big boy purple takin up all the space is confirmed a He. Not that I had suspicions or anything lol. Fuck he's huge.. I think both purple phenos of dragons garlic breath are male. I'm not disappointed in that one bit, I'll be saving this pollen.
I spotted a BMS male in the group too. Guess I'll have to go through here tomorrow..

yea the red phenos seems to tend to me more male then female. Definitely easier to find an awesome red male then a female. for whatever reason

Alright.. Pulled the males out, from 12 Garlic breath, a whopping 9 were male, only 3 were female. BMS was the same, from 11 BMS Bx1, 8 were male and 3 were female. All of them exclusively the smallest plants by a large margin lol.

That sucks. 25% females is not nearly enough to run this room out on. I've got some thinking to do, and a very serious decision to make. This kinda totally fucks me up. Kinda bummed, but I'll make a plan and move on. Dammit.

that ratio M/F just sucks. I know cutting some clones will put you back time but it’s always an option. Happy grows brotha.

I'm cooking up a plan. But I dont know if its gonna work. I might just be fucked and have to start over if I want to keep the genetics. Cause i cant run the room this empty. I was hoping for twice that many females. I'd understand a bit less but both coming out at 25% female is just a kick in the nuts.

First, and last time I ever run a seed crop in my flower room lol. Clones only from here on out, I was already setback nearly a month by using the seeds instead of clones, I'll be setback 2 months by the time I get back on my feet after this..

Yeah brotha a swift kick that’s for sure. Running the room that empty would be a waste for what you’re trying to accomplish. I’d probably cut clones from those plants, veg for a couple weeks and flip. Not the harvest you’re after but definitely more than 6 plants, unless you grow some treeeezz lol.

How full do you need the room? Could you use some autos to make up some of the difference?

The other shitty aspect is if all my female clones root, I'll still only have 12 because I only had 6 females. And if I want to flower them with the ones in the room already, I wont be able to veg them long enough to take cuttings so any genetics will be gone unless i want to reveg, and I'm not doing that. It's a shit situation. 4-6 more females and I would have been able to make it work.

I've called a few friends but nobody has anything in surplus in veg at the moment. I think I might need to give these females away or put them outside or something and hope to hell that every female clone I have pops roots. Then i can run another cycle from scratch. I'll either be waiting 2 months for a pound, or I could grow 4 pounds in 3 months. That's a no brainer.

What about staggaring the room. Plant the clones in a month and harvest 2 times a month apart or so.

Yeah times like this is like someone throwing a pile of shit at you and your options are mouth open or closed But coming off a killer grow hopefully takes some of the sting out if it.

No not at all, but these genetics werent available as feminized seed. I dont mind using fems or regs, and honestly I almost always get like 40-60% male or female with regs, somewhere in that ballpark. I dont think I've ever had the unfortunate luck of getting 25% female from 2 different packs.

My room is also the only suitable place I have to dry a couple/few pounds of pot. It doesnt work with my system. Maybe if I didnt have kids living in the house I would dry it in here, but yeah it wont work. I thought about that too. But my house is too small and crowded for that.
