Out of a pack of 12 regs, how many females do you usually get? Is it usually 50% or close to it? Is this the worst you’ve ever done? Or do you usually start straight from clone?
It is pure luck. Believe it or not i usually get over 80% with regs ive used over the last decades..ive allways grown spider seeds.i put in 105 outdoors and got 85 females..and these are plain bagseed from friends and dealers ...and they are all never stable with the odd nanner and get 5. 6 seeds off ea plant..i have been very very lucky i think.So my next question is... Spitballing here, but could the existing females reveg and join the clones in flower or would that not line up timing wise?Last night I was a bit shocked, but today I'm simply, really fucking pissed off. I should be halfway through flower with a full room right now, but no.. had to run fuckin seeds...
And with so few females to choose from now it's not even fucking close to calling it a phenohunt. So this cycle will be made up of very few untested females for a production run?. I do not like the thought of that at all. And I'll be fucked if I run another pack of seeds in there right now.

Could you run the existing plants like I do? Which is basically transplanting your existing 1G coco into 3G pots with a super soil layer beneath? I just use ocean forest with some dry amendments. Coco sits on top mostly but the soil holds water and plant roots dip down a bit as needed.
It would mean you water once a day, and it would introduce another variable. I think you probably want to wipe the slate clean from here and gosh I don't blame you. I swear I'm done offering ideas. Just throwing it out there.
Thanks mosh. A plan I have, I dont really like it though, with only 3 of each to choose from that really limits the genetic expression I'll see, which really makes this whole phenohunt a bit hokey. I might get lucky and find a keeper, but the odds are not in my favor at all. I hear you man, I got 2 out of 7 on one batch, I was counting on 3 or 4. I couldn't justify burning my 1000w for 2 plants so I vegged them until I grew more fems from seed. 2 months later I turned 2 beautiful big girls and 3 regular, A long time between harvests and I was chipping at one way before I should have just to prevent buying any.I appreciate the thought man. But I've had plants at different stages in here before and it's a huge PITA. I dont think it's worth that hassle just to save these females. Especially since they only make up like 30% of the room.
And frustrating is a massive understatement lol. This is costing me big time. I'm honestly in a bit of a rage.
