Mine was from aquatics and aquaponics. It's so fascinating and diverse. Many years of reading and trial and error but probably the most important thing missing in terms of knowledge with cannabis so far but it's changing. The only thing about that though is all the BS marketing that goes along with it. Probably the biggest thing I can say is if you have the bacteria starter and keep it going you will have a lifetime supply. But also usually they don't play nice with eachother so just because some have more strains does not mean they will all survive as it's competition for food and that's where proper diversity is important. If they have the same food source one will outcompete the other.
Of course then there is the difference of bacteria produce enzymes but enzymes themselves don't reproduce and that's why I feel we are seeing more enzymes on the market and not bacteria. Well that plus the fact bacteria die and have a very short shelf life. Enzymes have no shelf life....
Personally brewing your own tea is the way to go if you have the time and knowledge but enzymes are great in the fact they are basically plug and play and anyone can use em for a cost..

It's so funny that this thread turned to booze now, I was literally just on youtube researching how to make sugar wash ethanol because I'm tired of having dirty glass.
What styles of beer are you brewing? Sounds kinda like some kettle sour/bretty goodness. Beer yeast is awesome in bread too, as is Champagne yeast if anyone's a baker. They won't carry the rise on their own, but they definitely add something to the crumb and flavor.
Anyone looking for a scholarly intro to brewing should look into the MBAA Beer Steward Handbook, it's an outstanding resource.

I decided to try dyna grow foliage pro and protect wih the promix like the dyna grow president interview recomends that i been posting.
Waiting on amazon to ship.

The megacrop is sitting on a shelf. I had major sediment issues that never resolved and stock mixes were growing mold on the surface really fast, I'll experiment on a lower value crop with it. Probably use it in my veggie garden.
I wasnt aware it came with enzymes and microbes mixed into it?
Even still, if they say it does I'm extremely skeptical of the viability of microbes stored in a bag of salt. And enzymes can be denatured quickly if not stored properly.

I have 2 samples of powdered nutes that have been on the same shelf in my spare bedroom veg tent room.
The ch9 packet is soft and pliable after a few years. The megacrop is solid as a rock. Feels like it would need a chisel.

Ugh... barf lol. I'm not a fan of Brett or lacto or any sour beers. Dont like barrel aged beer either.
I make a few styles and rarely waver from them. I make Pilsner, classic pale ale, NEIPA, west coast IPA, and a stout. That's really about it. Every now and then I make an amber or golden honey ale if the mood strikes, but its not very often.
Almost forgot, I also do a session ipa for lawnmower beer in the summer, clocks in at 4% but tastes like a tropical NEIPA.

And that's really more to make certain micronutrients bioavailable, it doesnt do half the magic that enzymes can. No need to try it @Dirtbag this round is soil and likely after that I will go coco. I have the first version So it's a bit different I think. And as we all know mega crop is what I run and what was used in the hydro system that those pics I posted are from. I never seen the issues of sediment and maybe that's because it's version 1? I think base nute choices should be based on what additives you plan on using. This is where making your own comes in handy AF but I'm over that. As it can be tedious trying to get all the individual sources at times and I'm getting lazy in my older years.

@Buzzer7777 uses it too with some pretty impressive results, hes the one who sold me on it. I will still use enzymes when it finally does become available... he does too I believe
im using the bud explosion and sweet candy... so far so good

Yeah hygrowzyme is what I use but I'm open to options if there is something better. I honestly can't say a bad thing about mega crop. The results mean more to me than the claims made or clumping issues.@Buzzer7777 uses it too with some pretty impressive results, hes the one who sold me on it.
