Ohhh the 80's fish scale .....now come to think of it , maybe I did do a bit of thatYeah access to a good supply is what got me. My next door neighbor was a mid level handler for the Nomads and used to sell me 8 balls of pure Peruvian fish scale for $150. Stuff would turn your whole face and even your teeth numb. Add to that at the time I had no real job but was making a couple grand a week, It was a bad combination of circumstances. lol. Only lasted about 3 years, got really bad near the end before I smartened up and quit cold Turkey. touched it maybe half a dozen times in the last 20 yrs. But not at all since the fentanyl started to show up.
But we called it the pink abalone , kids these days , don't know what they missed......

Yeah it was better than anything I've seen since. He used to break off my 8ths in one or two big chunks straight from the kilo, still wrapped in packing tape lol. Pure as the driven snow. I only ever saw that kind of purity from him, and havent ever seen it since.

I picked up a friend of a friend at the airport in Vancouver early 70's. We got to my car and the guy just about lost it. He was wearing a kilo in packs around is body he brought back from Columbia. He started to shake and said to drive the speed limit and we could all party at his place. Fking ballsy but successful trip for him. We had it straight from the jungle so he said but it wasn't in hard brick form it was powder in a bunch of packs wrapped around his upper body. Man I havent touched hard drugs in forever. I dont do that anymore, but used to have a really bad cocaine habit in my early 20's.
These days it's all beer, pot, edibles, and maybe the odd benny lol. But that's as far as I go now.
Bingo! Got me too, in my 20's for about 5 years. Then I was almost killed during a major reup. THAT was the end of that. The long road of cain-recovery began and continues to this day 41years, 4months. There have been lots of dips and turns, but I managed never to go back or do the hard stuff again. Damn, I'm glad I made that turn. Most of the folks I ran with now have plants on their foreheads.
God let some of us fools live to give testimony to the remaining!

Once every few years I catch up with some of my friends that just never seem to grow up and I let myself loose for the night. Shits not even remotely decent anymore and I wake up thinking I wonder wtf I just put in my body... Long gone are the days of face melting (I will call glorious for the occasion) fish scale. Spent a few years of costly nights and good times indulging but it's just garbage now... IDC who says how good of shit they get these days... Garbage is what it is. Atleast in my neck of the woods. The last half decent stuff I had was from the bikers like 15 yrs ago.Yeah it was better than anything I've seen since. Ive only done perlite and pure coco. I don't see why it wouldnt work. Just too expensive at scale. As long as you dont go overly big pots should be fine just going to have to tune the irrigation on it. Might hold off on daily watering a little more after first transplant or when they are young for the vermic water holding.

I'm curious what would be the reason to mix 50/50 over using straight coco? I also dont see why it wouldnt work, aive just had such awesome results in pure coco I dont see the reason to mess with a good thing is all. If you're adding potassium silicate anyway, I dont see what it brings to the table. But I'm genuinely curious..

Man, $60 grams and $150 balls had me pimpin! lol, most shitty blow in Canada is $100/g, what I was getting for $60 blew peoples minds. But I've got Buddies who live down south near the border and $20USD grams werent uncommon. Only to kiss half of it goodbye lol. That's one of the things I noticed about the fish scale I got. A few drops of ammonia and I got complete conversion. 1 gram in, one gram out. or near enough...
