after reading this thread it seems the consensus is that budder is whipped bho or iso/shake.

i always thought budder started as BHO/iso but went through a process where sulfuric acid was necessary to convert the Δ9 THC.

i always thought *this* was the process for budder:

What you will need
Hash Oil (Which now you have)
Fuming Sulphuric Acid (NOTHING WILL COMPROMISE HERE OK! - Needs to be fuming aka 100% to be a catalyst)
Absolute ethanol (95-96% treated with drying agent to remove water) or Pure Methanol
PET Ether
Sodium Bicarbonate
Glass stirring rod
Pyrex Dish (just use the one you used to collect!!)
Reflux Apparatus

Procedure
Dissolve the hash oil in absolute ethanol or pure methanol in the ratio of one gram extract to ten grams solvent. There must be no water in this solution! (using fuming sulfuric acid next so trust SWIM on this one!)
Next add one drop of 100% sulfuric acid per gram of extract. Add the acid slowly, drop by drop, stirring slowly and completely, with a long glass stirring rod.
Place a Pyrex pot containing the extract-alcohol-acid solution into the refluxing apparatus and reflux for two hours. The acid will not evaporate and will remain in the Pyrex pot. Allow to cool.
Take the cooled solution, pour with an equal volume of water and 1/2 volume of petroleum ether into the ether-extraction apparatus (separation funnel).
Allow to settle, and drain the ether extract layer. This leaves an ether-extract-acid mix from which the acid must be purged.
To accomplish a purge, one pours the ether-extract-solution into four volumes of 5% sodium bicarbonate solution (1 gram bicarb. in 20 grams of water). This
will neutralize the acid, releasing CO2 and leaving a solution of sodium sulphate.
Allow this to settle into layers, then drain the ether-extract layer.
Mix the ether-extract solution with an equal volume of pure water and let it separate.
Drain off the ether-extract layer and evaporate it (the ether-extract layer), what remains is hash oil in which all of the cannabinoids have been converted into THC."

its possible that someone has done that, and it also transformed a clear oil form into a paste, but generally speaking, no one does that to make budder.

i just use everclear/grain alcohol, any one know how to take out the chrolophyll ? cuase that would be sweet ive made the shit fer years and had all typed of results.

got a buddy who gets this "taffy"...it's not candy or anything, it's just straight concentrate. EXTREMELY potent, like budder or honey oil, etc but it is NOT made with BHO/Butane. The guy he gets it from has slipped up a little and said it's a process either starting with or just involving grain alcohol usually, he uses everclear. I imagine it's just made like regular HO and then "whipped" (whatever that means, idk if someone wants to elaborate that'd be sweet).

Here is a pic of it. It looks wet, or like it's just wet water extract but this is of it DRY. I shouldn't even say DRY as at room temp it's so F'N sticky, it's like peanut butter. You touch your finger to it and it pulls off from the main part and is left on your finger. not sure if he uses full melt hash to dissolve or just trim/shake.

if anyone knows exactly what this is please share....and how to make it exactly! It tastes absolutely pure, you can smell and taste that there are NO nasty additives like butane and crap.

um, i just read almost this whole thread and it is pretty clear that you are confused on good BHO. if purged correctly and good tane is used, there is no bad taste and it often tastes similar to the original starting material.

If i had to bet, that shit there is just good first run BHO from herb that is not completely dry, that MAYBE is washed with alcohol or something like that. I have made BHO that looks almost exactly like that, and it is usually sticky, even at room temp, when you dont use too much butane and when you use who nugs.

Just wondering stickicky, why don't you just make your own BHO so you do not have to rely on what other people are telling you, since it is usually BS...
Making BHO is not hard, in fact, the hardest part is often times getting the nugs out of the tube afterwards

just empty yer tube right away after running and they empty super easy. use some kind of flat bladed poker like a hacksaw blade too, or kitchen utensil handle.

^^^thanx kut, i have found that really is the best way to do it. I have always wondered about how much butane is trapped in the nugs still.
When i take it out, i will usually put them in a bowl and they will slowly change colors back to a lighter green. Then i smash the bugs between my fingers to make some second run (for friends and my girl)
My question is, is butane off gassing here? I always get nervous that I am going to have the bug bowl spark up...thanx for the help.

You can't really state how much budder you can smoke and whatnot if you are notsmoking budder...Budderking does not just whip BHO and call it budder??? Honestly the whipping part is basically unimportant, it is the isomerisation that makes Budderking budder, it has nothing to do with the strain. As someone posted on the previous page budder is made by the addition of a strong acid which converts all cannabinoids to thc, which is why it is so pure... Making actual budder is somewhat of a dangerous endevour and shouldn't really be make with out a lab.

Without isomerisation, your just smoking whipped BHO, and definately not BUDDER

I have to agree with this guy....I am from the same city as budderking and have smoked his budder numerous times and i also make BHO out of killer strains all the time and its 2 completely different products. I personally dont like to whip my own BHO. Budderking budder is truley devistating IME my first time i was uncomfy high for 6 hrs off 2 hits. I gave a guy 1 hit once and he missed work the next day.

ive been trying to figure out how to make "ear wax" for about 2 years already lol. its very popular at the dispensaries here in the bay area and will never see it be sold for less than 45 a gram.i usually put it on a bed of flowers so it doesnt sink down my bong as once it is close to flame it will just melt, doesnt look like bho once melted thou... hmmm? i have been told that earwax is made with pressurized c02 somehow, i have no clue how that would work but i have heard that from not just one person but a few different people. ive had killer 88%thc blue dream ear wax and from my experience it was the best concentrate that i have ever had, the flavor of the product used to make the concentrate made butane, ether, and iso seem so bland and boring. the high was phenomenal and i have yet to feel something of that caliber. so i am still confused on the budder process, so is it butane that has been purged then whipped? or is it something else? has anyone heard of co2 being used for making concentrated cannabis?

if you are talking about the same ear wax as i have seen at clubs it is just bho. it looks different because they purge it and let it sit as a thin layer. after it is done sitting they put it in a freezer. wait for it to freeze, scrape with a razor, and then collect the shards and keep frozen.

yeah we been over this plenty of times.

I have seen that stuff at the dispensary. they call it caviar or something similar. it really does look like caviar. I have seen like one or 2 pictures ever of what this "legit" co2 errl is. Seem unplausable that people would have the machines or equipment to do this to weed, but someone is making something out there that isnt bho. club has it for 60$ a gram. I had to pass but knew i should have grabbed it because it was the only time i seen it at that place. seen it elsewhere and it looked a lil different, in 1/2 gram container or 60$!!!1
