My six COB Cree CBX 3590, is killing it so far. Two weeks old autos and some great Mexican brick weed seeds from 15 yrs ago.
Read on here to soak in hydrogen peroxide, then distilled water. Went into rapid rooters, out the six that I tried, three came to life. Must have been a good strain for me to hang onto.Thumbs up for you. Getting 15 year old seeds to pop ain`t easy, congrats. Keep `em green.
Hey buddy doing same EXACT perforated angle iron-dowels-nuts n bolts and save on shipping costs ;) btw how u like ur timber cree? im literly moments away from ordering a supplemental 100w CREE cxb3590 for my already 500w bloom tent ✌My grow space is a room that I built in my garage. Actual space is 3' X 7' X 7' high. Was using 3/300 watt LED lights (Advanced Diamond Series 300/DS300`s). During my last grow one took a shit, called the company and was told, they`re obsolete, no parts available. Did not make me happy. Next, the second one, had some of the LED`s stop working. So, now I have one good DS300, one half assed DS300 and the new Timber grow light (200 watt). Plan to get 3 more of the Timber 200`s, when finances allow me to. Payday is Tuesday, on a fixed income, so I will buy some aluminum L channel to build the frame with.

The rig is 3'x 6' ( Lowes), space used is about 5'x7'. Won't lie, 20 COB DIY setup will cost you.
For what you see, maybe about $1200, including another 4 COB rig in a 2'x4'
The 3070s GreenGenes 200 Watt tutorial, the 3590s GrowMau5 V kit from Cutter.
Since I built this, the availability of COB kits/parts has increased (cost going down) over several months.
The build is easy. Lowes, Radio Shack and Amazon. As one can see I did the basics, nothing
fancy. Works for me. This run the nutes used... Jacks 321. 10 gal res, 6 tsp, 4 tsp, 2 tsp...
can't get any simpler. Ya see the results.

I think I will build the frame and put a 300w cob setup on it. 2 cobs on each end and 2 cobs in the middle with my 2 600w hids right where they are.
I veg and start early flower and then switch on the hps during last 6 weeks of flower, along with the Cobs.
That's will cut about 4 weeks of hid out. Cost effective. ..

Looks like it turned out great. As far as heat goes, after my cob has been on for a few hours, put your hand on top of the heatsink pins and they are barely warm.
Adding COBs Monday:]This what I just finished, six COB's at 75w each, from Timber. The frame I made myself, really is working great, gets about 90 degrees at the most.
