Not an apple guy, but there should be a way to turn off location and tracking, hope an apple guy pops inHey everyone! Im doing a grow diary and have been taking pics and want to start sharing on that thread but I remember reading in the forum rules something about the pictures and possibly being tracked or somethihng? How worried do i have to be taking pics with my Iphoone and uploading them here? Im all Mac at my house so shit like that is super easy to do. I dont know shit outside of how dummy proof the iOS is. So if i could use that id prefer do so.
So with that said I have been taking pics with my “real camera” that has a memory card. And was waiting to post here until i got some clarification on that. Also i dont want to break any forum rules and get the boot!
Im really dumb with technology : ) and kind of paranoid too lol! More cautious than paranoid, depending on how high I am hahaha! Thank you everybody!
So I live in an outlaw state. If you are on iOS you really should be fine. Just make sure after every update from apple, that you go into your settings and manually shut off pic location/info. Then it’s just pixels. You will be fine.Hey everyone! Unless they start a riot, or eating your plants, I’d say you are golden. Put a shallow lid of water in there, those stupid beetles will find a way to drown themselves in no time hahaha. So the beetles are ok as well?
Yeah, def I thing you need to think of if you're in a non legal stateThanks 2water! Ill figure out, i was just hoping I could get a “dont worry about it” or “yeah you absolutely need to do something” lol.

Before you select a specific picture to post, go to the picture and swipe up, there will be information about the photo and the location, you can turn location off on each individual picture or turn off location in settings. I will screenshot the image to give an example:Hey everyone! Definately ladybugs. Japanese beetles look very irridescent and are bigger than lady bugs.I’m thinking I may have ladybugs and Japanese beetles so hard to get a picture of is there an easy way to tell View attachment 2112276View attachment 2112275View attachment 2112274
I am old guard as well, best believe I vetted this place for close to a year and a half before I tarted to interact with folks. The whole thing was so alien to me, for a thing that I’ve hidden for so long, it was very weird changing my thought process a bit when it came to this place. But totally worth it!Great! Thank you! I’m in a legal state : ) but grew up lookin over our shoulders because it hasn’t always been that way lol. Just want to do right by everyone here and myself. Thanks for the info!!!
Thank you so much. I really get a better picture with my phone, and it’s way easier to manage photos and what not. Before you select a specific picture to post, go to the picture and swipe up, there will be information about the photo and the location, you can turn location off on each individual picture or turn off location in settings. Higher light, more output. Light gets too close you can start cooking McGriddle marks into your plants…..the heat is the primary issue in that regard.I have a good lighting question???
is it better to keep your light at 100% and raise your light higher or dim your light and keep it closer???
Keeping that in mind I know under hps/mh it was rumored to keep it at full blast because the light was producing the full spectrum of what it could do.... red and blues would be severely diminished if dimmed....
So if unlimited height was not an issues which would be a better route to go???
I asked chat gpt this same question and was told higher light intensity was better at a safe distance.I have a good lighting question???
