And I'm willing to bet between myself and 4 of my other associates that we have a minimum of 5,000 strains represented in our collections combined. We've all been around the world searching for land races. I was in Swaziland and Durban twice last year alone

Why would you care about the reviews? Most of these people leaving them probably forgot to close their mouth when they breathe.....

I've seen some negative reports on elev8 on other forums as well. I had thought about trying his GG4 as he was the only one who had them at the time but my research turned up quite a few horror stories. Since then i've never given them a second thought.

I do have a question about cookies though. Are they in any way hermie prone? I found a couple naners late in flowering but plucked them off so they didn't do any damage. They may have been sterile anyhow so i'm not sure if it would have mattered. Just curious. I grew out cookies n cream by exotic genetix. I've got another one going now from the same mother so i'll see if it happens again. I've done some searching online and have found a few people speak of it as a possible issue but nothing concrete. Just curious.

True cookies, the actual strain that came from Sherbinski and Jigga is pretty finicky. Cookies seeds that you purchase are just bastardized versions of the original and will probably be somewhat stable

Seeds aren’t cheap and wasting time, space and money isn’t what most of us care to do.

I read through this entire thread just to gain some insight. So far there are a few that I guess are overwhelming favored and a few personal thoughts. I picked up some King Tut (Tutankhamen) from Original Seeds as they were just pretty much the only place that had them at that time and I really loved it when I smoked it. They sent me a pack of White Island as part of "coupon", so I'm smiling thinking about those those too.

This is where you're wrong. Seeds are extremely cheap when you consider the revenue they bring in. I see people crying about spending $100 on a pack to grow $5,000 worth of weed. You guys have your priorities all out of whack

grow Tutankhamen many times good yields and taste - it's a regular --- if you like that try Holy Grail Kush

Priorities out of whack? Seriously?

If you’re growing commercially then sure it’s a drop in the bucket. But if you’re growing for personal use in limited space then it absolutely costs you way more time and money than the cost of a pack alone.

I can’t afford a failed experiment or too many failed experiments. Therefore I do my research and find the best bets before plunking down my cash, making space in my grow room and taking the risk.

The way detgrnthumbs flashes his cash and his grows and how he visits places and shit.
Cool bro.
Just cause I grow 6 plants in my basement and I can't afford to go to shows and flash hundos around and buy everything I want.
He is that dude. I am a mouth breather that works everyday 7-330 and I'm ok.
Am I dumb, nope. I dont hate. I just dont like the way he talks down on people like we are mortals.

If I had virtually unlimited space then I’m sure we’d be doing just as you are. But I don’t. And that’s ok. If you’re growing commercially then you need to seek out and obtain whatever the flavor of the month is. Because that’s what sells.

You’re like a fishing lure trying to catch fishermen.

I don’t subscribe to those same principles. I grow to supply myself and those who I care to share with.

My intentions are vastly different than yours and that doesn’t make either of us right or wrong. Just different.

Yeah I’m just not about the drama. But I’m not going to let someone tell me I’m doing it wrong either.

He has to understand we have vastly different goals and while it’s cool he gets to flash cash and seed hoards it doesn’t matter to some of us. IG is a great place to flash it and you’ll probably get a million followers for it. That’s cool.

I’m good where I’m at and I’ll keep doing me.

I help new growers and don’t discourage anyone from giving their hand a try at growing. I go halfsies on packs of seeds with people I like and care for. I give out seeds to people in need to hopefully get them back on track and pick them up when they’ve been let down. That’s me. And that’s how I am.

Take it or leave it.

Not asking to be friends but be respectful and realize we aren’t all in it to screw you or your business over. Meanwhile we’d appreciate not being talked to as if we’re toddlers and this is our first rodeo.

Good luck either way.

Ha! I gotta tell ya if it were even remotely close to the PUNGENT POISON Wafts my neighbors shed threw out when I was growing up mid to late 80'S it'd prob be worth it just to keep a mother alive and try to increase the skunk with proper breeding techniques.....I'm a firm believer the "scene" needs to redoscover the skunks lines ........I remember trying a pine/skunk that made me hallucinate cartoons for 25 minutes.....I miss those greasey bitchs

Logic sold some Fruity Pebbles OG for I believe 5-10k/pack a few years ago.

I was witness to the Dutch Flowers phenomenon in the early 2000s. Gifted group of breeders that did some great things but their seed packs routinely auctioned for north of $2000-5000/pack in the early 2000s.

In fact I knew folks who did nothing but buy them grow them, toss pollen and sell F2s at a fraction of the price. They got their money back plus some on each deal and they got to grow stuff we all dreamed about.

And some of us bought those F2s and got a taste of the high life. It was fun and interesting. And in the end it all ended up in smoke.

Seriously was my mantra until 2016 when I accidentally pollinated a kosher kush with sleestack I think it was..........I was BLOWN away by those seeds. Of course I got into some lovins and lost the beans down south .......upwards and onwards I say! Something tells me I can pull off a couPle decent pollen chucks to avoid having to keep buying beans

All I can say to this mindset is I've noticed locally a lot of folks get super psyched when they see flowers filling up with grease and the like, seem to have a hard time not being impulsive and wanting to try their flowers.....they may not see the 100 investment as a "turnaround" into 5000. To me that's cash crop talk. I respect ur opinion, but I don't agree with it.

They’ve not gone anywhere. They are still here masked in different names and labels.
