yeah this is full of the back garden waste from the house in the UK, its mainly lawn grass clippings, leaf litter and this year, the remains of a Strawberry patch I dug up to reduce any possible gray mold issues next season. The patch had been around for a while, so best to rotate. It also has material from the "spent" mushrooms I grow in the kitchen. One thing being a traveler, its not always easy to find good food sources, so I take my own LOL. This and some brown waste, by way of birch, cherry and apple twigs. I added some shredded paper to boost C levels as I dont have a massive forest
As for the temps, it is an outside box so is subject to weather. Its typically around 70C so about 158F is it? anyway, it hasnt been turned, there is no space, so i treated it with a bunch of f. microbes and fungus, this avoids me having to turn the material since I can extract it from the base through a sluce type opening, spread it out, the air kills and anaerobes and bingo.
Moisture levels are at 40-60% as per most good biological levels, I tend to monitor the CO2 mate, this tells me when Its ready to extract anyway. I prefer not to go on temps up and down, or worse, just some eye measure :)
I always scope my soils before I apply them. i know I will have potential for anaerobes, but so long as I dont mess about with over feeding, driving out O2 etc, i wont worry. I am not sure the exact benefits of turning, since I have been doing this, its been great, I only turn when i turn it out, then I do piss about wafting it and sprinkling it to get the air right back in, actually this just means i put it in a bucket, I lift this bucket in the air and dump it. I am super lazy bro you know me LOL :)

I use Solvita composting tools bro, they rock, CO2 test kits etc for maturation all sorts. Good company, wonderful support and then I went to Cornell and they taught me everything else.

Why growing plants and or having plants in and around the home helps us clean the air from otherwise harmful toxins

Abstract
: Since air pollution has been linked to a plethora of human health problems, strategies to improve air quality are indispensable. Despite the complexity in composition of air pollution, phytoremediation was shown to be effective in cleaning air. Plants are known to scavenge significant amounts of air pollutants on their aboveground plant parts. Leaf fall and runoff lead to transfer of (part of) the adsorbed pollutants to the soil and rhizosphere below. After uptake in the roots and leaves, plants can metabolize, sequestrate and/or excrete air pollutants. In addition, plant-associated microorganisms play an important role by degrading, detoxifying or sequestrating the pollutants and by promoting plant growth. In this review, an overview of the available knowledge about the role and potential of plant–microbe interactions to improve indoor and outdoor air quality is provided. Most importantly, common air pollutants (particulate matter, volatile organic compounds and inorganic air pollutants) and their toxicity are described. For each of these pollutant types, a concise overview of the specific contributions of the plant and its microbiome is presented. To conclude, the state of the art and its related future challenges are presented.

Poblano Pepper Lowes Plant
Better Organix

Mrs. Preggo hasn't asked for child support yet, but she is still producing hard. I got some missed calls though. o_O

Recent harvest last week with Thug Life Phantom posing for the ladies.

I figured she would get tired of producing kids when the only thing she gets lately is a little slap and tickle. I guess some like it rough?!?? LOL

Let me show you the other side of this dirty girl with Mrs. Veto trying to photobomb. :)

Oh and some Long Dong Kong Poblano Peppers currently hanging on her. LOL :D

If you have any questions feel free to ask. :)

Green Bell Pepper Lowes Plant
Better Organix

I have to admit I am loving these Root Pouches and no fly away plants to date in them. WOOO The issue is you got to watch Mrs. Granado.

Mrs Granado
since the transplant is showing all new healthy growth and throwing new peppers each day. Hoping can get some fatties before her ultimate death in time.

Recently pollinated peppers and Granado praying in the sun.

Granado
better hurry because smoking on the glue got me like. NOM NOM

Oh and Yeah you go gurlllllll!!!!
