Trying to set up for successful 1st grow

Echoing the humidity thing. Hobo is on the ball. I've read about all the problems that low humidity can cause. I live in the high desert in OR where our RH is between 30 and 40 on any given day of the year and I've seen nary a one of the dismal predictions. I also would have absolutely no idea what powdery mildew looks like if I didn't have friends in low places.

10 4 on the rh. Mine stays 30-40 with lights on. Was 54% this am after lights off. Will just monitor for now. Temp in 4x4 room stabilized at 80F. Seedlings r 2 days old. 2- medical ac/dc and one white widow about a dau behind. Acapulco Gold never sprouted. Put seed back in moist paper towel, but is most likely trash. If so, I'll just start my 1st grow with these 3. I dropped light (against advise) 4" to 20" above seedlings. They did not like it at all!!!! Raised light (300 w Mars led) back up and they straightened right back up ! Lessons learned !!!! Approx. 4 " tall. So, with new ffhf soil, how long before i start "feeding" ? I'm thinking around same time as 1st topping at 5-6 node. Right word,node ? Trying for final plant size at 4-5 ft. With 80" tall tent. Being careful not to overwater. Whadaya think ?

New grower here. Actually haven't started yet. Just getting "set up". Mars 2000 kit supposed to be here thurs. 4/29/21. Got happy frog soil, seeds on the way, getting everything ready. Feminized cbd ac/dc seeds to help with wife's fibromyalgia pain. Oh yeah she can be the pain to..... but that's another story !!!! 1st of a gazillion ?'s - I'll be using well water. I got some testing strips like the ones used for pool water testing. Ph is around 6.4-6.6. I've read 7.0 is ideal. Total alkalinity is approx. 30. 60-90 best for my type soil. I know ya'll know these perimeters, just showing u I do my homework and don't take your time/knowledge lightly. I really appreciate any and all help !!! So is this test method adequate and what to do to get my water closer to "guildlines"? Tks

Sounds like you have a great setup! Make sure you have a small fan to move air around and I use an extraction fan and carbon filter to keep from stinking my whole house up. Make sure you have good nutrients (I use fox farm) and cal mag! Good luck to you!

As far as first feeding goes I wait for the cotyledon (the first pair of round leaves that come out) to begin to turn yellow. The soil also has nitrogen in it so you should be able to just water for a while.

Day 3-4 for seedlings. Look awful tall for their age don't u think ? (4") mars 300w led at 24". 5k lux. Thinking about slowly raising lux since it's been a few days at current level. Just watered yesterday, that's why so wet. They were almost bone dry after 3-4 days. I WILL NOT overwater. Thoughts on any/improvements, or just relax and observe ?

1 week old seedlings. Color looks good but 2 are having a hard time standing up. I'm thinking not enough water since they were awfully dry. Concerning for sure. About 4" tall. 300w led now 20" away. I did up the lux to 9500 on wed. That could be the standing issue also but no sign of burning or discoloration. Straight well water. Used "gauges/meters today for 1st time. Clean water read ph 5.87. 73 temp. 34 ppm (that can't be right, could it?) Ec 68. Then i repotted in 3 gal. Fabric pots cuzz i saw roots coming out of starter pots. Watered just before transplant. Ffhf soul. Runoff measurements are 6.33 ph. 551 ppm. 1103 ec. ( that can't be right either, can it ?) Here's a couple pics. Recommendations for this rookie ?

Slow down, up potting is usually 4 weeks in peat pots 1st. pH is fine at 6.0 More water seems needed, but not too much.

Photos. Medical cbd ac/dc. Supposed to receive acopulco gold and white something (i am an idiot sometimes, can't remember ×=<_ !!!) Seeds today in mail. All photos. Think I'll go with 2 ac/dc, and one each of others for 1st grow. Are 3 gal. Pots (fabric) big enough for final size ? I thought they were gonna be 6 gal. But they r not. Using ffhf soil. Tks.

Yeah the plastic pallet is from work. I'm a trucker. Free. Drip pan is for appliances, from lowes. Both work great. Fri. Will be 2 wks. For plants. (Today is wed.) All good so far. Up to about 3-4 sets of leaves. Waiting for 5-6 before topping. Trying hard not to overwater.

you can add the net anytime but it’s best to wait as long as you can.
what is your maximum growth height?
is there enough space for lights?
etc..

The biggest problem for me is watering under the net. Instead of evenly spaced, placing the pots all near the door helps tremendously.

It's a 4x4'x80" tent. If you look at the following pics, i have the 300w led light 24" above plant top. Then there is another 24" of room to raise light. I am upping lux 3-4k every couple days, at 24-26 now. They seem to love the light. So i have 24" of height left if i am keeping 24" from light to plants. Plants are 2 wks. Old and 6" tall. I'm not dead set on nets, rookie here just asking for opinions from ya'll that know what the heck you're doing, 'cuzz i certainly do not!!!
