Yield is in right on 2 potatoes at 740w per unit = .6 gpw. Nothing stellar but with some tweaking should have no problem doing 3 potatoes next run. Quality is through the roof though :)
HSO line of Blue Dream is a pretty good. I have noticed there are few different phenos so be on the lookout for the indica. Still grows like a Sativa, but the nodes are much tighter. Are you going to add more LED lights, or adding MH/HPS lights? Looking forward to the next grow
I feel ya on changing up the strain. I grew an OG as well, but was not satisfied with the golf ball colas as you mentioned. I really dig the LED grow and cant wait to make the jump one day .I am sure your next grow will be better. I learn something new every time and I seem to get better results each run.
More LED all the way bro and better yielding genetics.
How you doing bro
Your changes/additions sound perfect.
Dream is very hard to beat. With your own patients, it's everything you could want as a medical grower. Yield and quality. The best quality of all the popular high yielders by a good amount IMO. Maybe some well grown sourD. But dream is consistently great for me. Over 27% thc under AT600's specifically. HSO could have some even better pheno's.
Anyways...stoked to see how you next run comes out.
I've seen that HSO Blue Dream mentioned favorably a few times here and it's one I need to try. What is a good veg time in an XL system, how long flowering?
Setup upgrade and questions.
Hey guys, before starting a new thread I wanted to ask a few questions. CCH2O recommends for a UCXXL4 for either 4 600w overhead per plant or 5 600w verts in between. My plan was to do both and kill it, but do it the energy efficient route and utilize the Philips master color 315 Agro lights in place of the 600w. Please see the below pic as an example. I've heard the rule of thumb is 3.41 BTU per watt. When we add up the 4 AT600's and 5 315 CDL Phillips drops we get about 15,000 BTU/hour.
I use a 70 pint dehuey (which makes some heat) and have a fan or two... I'd want this to be a closed system with CO2 (bottled, so no additional heat). Am I better off get a 1.5 ton BTU Mini-split (18,000) or a 2 ton mini split (24,000). Any advice would be appreciated as I'm pretty new to this stuff but want to run at max efficiency with top notch LED and CDL verts in RDWC. Cuz i'm a fuckin' nerd.
I have a close friend who works in HVAC and can get wholesale and install it for compensation in meds. So if you have any recommended brands or killer SEER value quality units I'd love to hear folks. Thank you for your time.
