My last post got all messed up. I typed a HUGE post and it cut off everything but the first sentence, so in a nutshell what I was saying (I think to Lino)

I love the Grand Prix format. I don't like the rules. Head butts are dangerous to a fighters career. Once you are opened up like that, it's gonna be a problem for the rest of your life. I have those same cuts, and it's a problem for me just in day to day life. If I'm working on something and smack my head good, they open right up.

We are never going to mimic a real street fight. We'd really have to make them consume a great quantity of alcohol and get one to call the other's girls a slut to mimic the average reality. So any rules applied are either arbitrary, or for the fighters well-being. I could say that Bitinio would have won if he kneed him in the balls on the occasions he had opportunity. And in a street fight, if I have that shot, I'm taking it. I'm not in this situation, risking serious injury, with some a-hole (if you are fighting me, you are an a-hole) any longer than I need to be. If I can throw sand in your eyes, I'm going to, and you will receive a royal ass kicking. I've had bottles smashed over my head. If weapons are fair game, your balls are fair game. If it happened, during that time period in my life, that I got in a street fight with Vale, you know who would win? Me. Because he won't just be fighting me, on any given night I could rattle off 10 names of people who would jump on the chance to stomp someone. It's like a bee hive. On several occasions I defused situations, not because I was scared, but for the overall well being of the other person. He doesn't know what he is getting himself into. Back then (and this is not to brag) at least half the people I hung around with had been stabbed, about 25% had been shot, more than that, had shot at people, some of them had killed people. I had a girlfriend during that time period, who had been shot at one time. Street fighting, by definition, is lawless.

So if we aren't going to imitate the results of a real street fight, and we have already decided to draw a line somewhere I.e. No eye gouging, groin strikes, than why not alter that line so that it gives the fighters at least somewhat of a future in the sport. They don't need to be breaking hands, wear some sort of light gloves. They don't need to have their career handicapped or ended because of the cuts from head butts. I would add foot stomps to the list.

I have to agree, I saw Nick Diaz fight after his scare repair surgery and not much more than a jab and his fucking scare tissue opened rite up....

I would NOT fight Vale with out a minimum of 45 cal. , prefer a semi-auto pistol if he came at me. And a back up pistol also. I have watched his fights and he is dangerous , he is calm, calculated and doesnt gas for a big guy with adrenaline dumps.

I like hand to hand combat in all forms. I'm so disgusted with Olympic committee about cutting wrestling, bullshit=== I could spit. My point was that UFC MMA is NOT a fight, its an MMA match. NCAA wrestling tournament is more of fight that a UFC MMA... Dana White and his mobster , well all I can say is the UFC stands for U Fight Cheap! Our home boy Alvarado was sent to boxing and made millions... Friday nite punk rock fight nite ,,, under ground fighting and entertainment fun shit here in Denver back in the day when I thought I was a badd ass... punk rock band, warehouse,,, brawl your bro or any one in the audience after you got Drunk,,, crowd threw money in the ring the more you beat the shit out of each other. chick made big money rippen cloths. PT strip club girls served. BUT when I witnessed the PROs here in Denver it was like nothing I saw in my life... Men would literally piss themselves with fear. They'd put all the fighters in one room to warm and at random call there name out to the cage to fight.... Ken Shamrock was amped adrenaline, so pumped he had foam coming out his mouth,,, ya know how they high five MMA guys now,,, the audience cleared a path for these animals. they had a look of death, eyes so dilated, it was the most intense competition I have ever witness and I've seen 3 of these ..Ive been to Judo Worlds, NCAAs and UFC and World Boxing from the corner also. I saw 2 pro fights Here in the states and it is intense,,,,, people go out on strtchers often.... Rome bro,,, I got to witness Gladiators rite here in Denver also!

I love a real fight. But IMO, unless you want to spend your Friday and Saturday nights bar crawling to see the action, we need to give the fighters a future. A reason to choose this as a career, and a payoff to make the long term damage worth it.

I had a friend one time took a toaster oven from the trash and smashed it on a guys head. Only 10 or so would be game to fight...but if he is crazy enough to engage, he is gonna get hurt. I wasn't kidding about them killing people. I know at least a few of them had killed someone, and I had seen many of them shoot. Those dudes loved me, I wouldn't even have to fight Vale, they would do it for me. And it doesn't matter how "bad" you are when you ar against 10 dudes with all degrees of weapons, who don't give a fuck about going back to jail (some preferred it) He's gonna get hurt, one of them is gonna carve a J on his face, and the others are gonna take a piss on him. I've seen it. It's a large part of why I left (that, and I caught 11 felonies one night).

One of my neighbors at the time was a tough kid, in a small gang. One time he was in the wrong neighborhood, and one of my friends shanked him in the back ribs. Punctured a lung, and some other important organs. They opened him up from the bottom of his neck to his dick, and stapled him back together. He barely made it.

I saw on the news recently, one of my better friends during that time period, just recently caught extortion charges...apparently totaling $50k. They were bad dudes. And if Vale turned around and one of them thought, "this guy looks tough, I'd better lay him down now." Then he would get it right there, grab his cell, wallet and keys and bounce to another house. He isn't in the ring anymore, he is in a combat zone. Out numbered, and again, against people who are used to handling business in this element.

It's no joke around here (there I should say, I moved...I had to) you've seen the movie where Mark Walberg plays Micky Ward? Wards brother Dickie, actually killed my cousin outside a bar a few years back (u can look it up) My cousin thought he was tough, and messed with the wrong guy.

The scenario I'm laying out is totally unfair. Vale would kick my ass one on one. Probably kill me. My only point was, taking people out of there elements into a new scenario, they no longer have the advantage. If vale was in my scenario, and he was smart, he would walk away...as do I when I'm in someone else's city. I know how quickly you can lose your face.
