+1You’re getting robbed with the Amazon prices. Looks like you live in a urban area and can find all the soils at $12-$15 for the 1.5/2cf bags. (Tons of grow stores sell the dirt at cost, so you’ll come in and blow a bunch of money on worthless nutrients.)
(Not sure where you’re getting your info but FFOF is an organic blend and doesn’t use synthetic nutes.)
It's good to see that... never a bad thing to go finding answers and then get opinions on them. Honestly your putting the work in before just posting so good on you.I kinda always think it’s not the equipment, it’s the grower .. so as long as I do w I’m supposed to I think I’ll be ok regardless of medium, lights or nutrients .. Hints why I’m doing so much research on w plants need at certain stages and different feeding techniques..
I’m going in a 4x8 so I’m sure it’ll fit but I noticed that you have tells option to mount the driver outside of the tent resulting in less environmental heatWhat grow style are you planning. Most don't realize how powerful these lights are and for decent spread without strips you really need to pay attention to that.
If you buy the 5000 then make sure it fits in your 2x4 unless you are immediately upgrading cause that would suck for ya.
Honestly whichever light you go with I suggest running it at 80% slightly better efficacy but with one you prob won't see any noticeable difference but because of the cooler running tenls it will go a long way in extending the life the fixture and the slight reduction of light output over time.
You on the right track you want a passive cooled fixture with decent components.
You will really thank yourself of you go with one that has better spread like a strip light. Especially in a tent where height can be an issue.... it imo most important part. Of it need a 3 ft hanging height you will hate it no matter how much ppfd it has and the ppfd won't matter because you won't be able to utilize it.
It's all about net photosynthesis and this is why spread is an absolutely crucial consideration. Imo 2 240 is better than a 500..
Warranty is another consideration
There’s a crazy crazy forum I was just reading on here and it’s actually insaneIt's good to see that... never a bad thing to go finding answers and then get opinions on them. Honestly your putting the work in before just posting so good on you.

Yup simple 18gauge solid core is what I used to do this myself.I’m going in a 4x8 so I’m sure it’ll fit but I noticed that you have tells option to mount the driver outside of the tent resulting in less environmental heat
Can you post a link to your source(s) - I’d be interested in the FF switch to synthetics.I’ve checked the label, ingredients and have been staying updated with FFOF and they recently changed there label and took off the word organic and after wondering why I asked my local hydro store and they said they reason is such but after doin my own reading I’ve come to confirm that.
Again, you far better off with a spider type light, with those diodes, not the quantum config. It's good, but it's not good as these types. VIPARSPECTRA I'm assuming is samsung certified, not for sure, but in all likelyhood, yes.
LIke this: Which is a little more powerful, and will penetrate the canopy far better.
Spider Farmer SE3000 300W Led Grow Lights Dimmable Full Spectrum
Spider Farmer SE3000 300W led grow lights with Samsung LM301B diodes, cover 2x2 FT(70x70cm). High efficacy and good heat dissipation, perfect for indoor grow.www.spider-farmer.com
Plus, your getting 2 lights, for nearly the same price. Each light is more power, and more efficient...
But I think that offer expires tomorrow....
4 xs2000 put you right at the 960 watt you get from the 30 wpf most go by. I dont believe they truly draw 240w as shown on driver, but it is a solid light and price was down recently that I saw. SF also has quality products if you get the right model. Comes down to how you wanna spend yourYou don’t think 4 viper spectras will get the job done?
Me too.Can you post a link to your source(s) - I’d be interested in the FF switch to synthetics.
Thanks for clearing it up, yea. I thought you got 2 of them, sorry. Must have been smoking some really good dope last night.
Yes, the shipping kills it, I think. Coco is the best way to go online, I believe.Don't buy any soil online, they rape you on price. Your local hydro shop should have it for no more than $20, max. I would also avoid using so many different nutrient lines, just stick to 1 company. Good luck.
It wasn't what you were smoking. It's a marketing technique called purposeful misleading, or something like that. It really says one thing but it looks like it says something way better. Thanks for clearing it up, yea. I thought you got 2 of them, sorry. Must have been smoking some really good dope last night.
Lol, Yea I was gonna pull the trigger but I read it again and that’s why I started looking at the 5000 insteadThanks for clearing it up, yea. I thought you got 2 of them, sorry. Must have been smoking some really good dope last night.
GotchuMe too.
Yea, I think the 5000 and 7000 is better if your sitting in an appropriate footprint. That said, the 3000's will allow you to get farther down on them. Personally, I think that's the best approach, because of the laws of photon, and distance.Lol, Yea I was gonna pull the trigger but I read it again and that’s why I started looking at the 5000 instead
I suspected this. This last grow had some issues that it shouln'tve. This answers it.Gotchu
