I've used HPS for vegging before. Decent result, though they did stretch a bit.

My preference is still for MH. I like to keep my plants as compact as possible.

first time bro...gonna start juggling this week. i think in a week and some days,gonna put the other hps in. go a week and some more days, then back to the 50/50 to finish..

I have vegged with both and i deff had better thicker stonger plants you can check out my thread prodigy's big bushes i have monsters with 40 50 tops in 7 and 10 gal coco smart pots all vegged with either a 600 watt lumatek hps or a 1000 watt lumatek hps the groth rate with hps is by far the fastest and stongets but if you like veginng with hps both will do a good job i would just rather have thirty to fifty thousand more lumens per watt per square in.

No prob, I was a bit of an asshole myself, sorry. No hard feelings.

As others have said, it's possible, but not preferable. If it's all you have though, it's worthwhile doing.

I use a 600w hps for both veg and flower. Keep the canopy even and the light at the right distance and you will be okay.

I am looking to add a 400w nh to my room though.
