What type of bugs are we talking? When I was mixing 707 and Happy Frog I was getting thousands of fungus gnats overnight but I had them gone within a week using Caps bennies. Now I'm mixing Black Gold with perlite and I'm not seeing any critters. Some Yoda mother fucker put me on my new mix ;)respect that's Roots Organic potting soil in the camo bags
I've never been able to find the 707 that wasn't infested with bugs......
I know your not talking to me but I just dust them and plant.lookin mighty fine as usual brosef.question on the nute pack,do you mix it into your soil mix dry?if so it sounds simple andi like simple, what ratio of caps to soil do you prefer.im about to mix a couple batches for upcanning and just happen to have the nute packs on hand, peace
what do you mean, dust the roots before putting them into the new pot?I know your not talking to me but I just dust them and plant.
Yes I dust the root ball personally but I'd go off Waaynes process before mine :)what do you mean, dust the roots before putting them into the new pot?

It also says on the back of the package during transplants you can mix it in the soil directly 1/4 tsp per gallon of soil...fwiwsixstring I mix it per Caps instructions
I like to mix it with non - chlorinated H20,and water it in....

I really like the consistent results I get from Caps bennies......
It's to bad as I really like the airy ness of the product...light n fluffy. I will say black gold is the softest soil I've ever laid my hands on. It's like a fucking down pillow lol.the 707 was infested with fungus gnats......and springtails....
yeah I wanted to try it ,but both times I tried to buy some it was so infested I wouldn't even consider using it.....It's to bad as I really like the airy ness of the product...light n fluffy. I will say black gold is the softest soil I've ever laid my hands on. It's like a fucking down pillow lol.
Well your method is superior I'm sure ;). Btw have you ever dusted seeds like it mentions?yep, that info is in the link I provided....
my preferred method of application is a soil drench........
That's why I shouldn't have butted in because we all know who the man is :D...sometimes I just can't resist lolyeah I been using the back of the bag for directions, just wanted to hear how the masta does it :D
thanks for the quick response guys, peace
I do mix them together for some mixes..but not all.....Nice talking fellas...have a great day. One last question Waayne if I may. Are you mixing the roots organic with the black gold?
I do mix them together for some mixes..but not all.....
I don't really like either brand that much... the lesser of evils...you know....;)
r3deyejedi I have yet to find,a bug free, consistent, organic soil,I tend to mix these two,and get good results, but I am not a big fan of anyones bagged organic soil mix........inconsistencies bother me the most,oh and the empty Copenhagen can in the bag of Black Gold one time....waayne man those are all beauties but #2 does look to be the star of the show, that is a totem pole right there:eek:
i'm curious is there a brand/brands that u prefer to the roots and black gold?
