Well, I've got some news that is excellent...

To make a long story short, it looks like I'm going to have a 8' x 36' shipping container to work with, in due time. Probably will be a sealed 8-10kw setup. It will be a little while before my own is up and running, but it will be very exciting. I'll most likely use my current setup for testing/pollen chucking once the day comes...

Epic.

Just had to share :p

Ouhhhhhh....SA-WEET!!! You'll KILL it in that big box bro!!! That would make a bad-ass set-up!!! There was actually a guy at another forum I used to hang out on, that brought in heavy equipment and buried one about that size about 10-15 feet underground! He ran power, ventilation, in fact...everything underground! Pretty sure he plumbed water in too! I know he had his exhaust ventilation coming up somewhere in the middle of the woods! haha!! And I don't know if he actually DID this, or it was just discussed, but there was talk of building a small building on top, and setting it up as a fake welding shop...this is to disguise the power consumption. He documented the whole process with pics, so we got to see the land being excavated and the thing going in...as well as the whole set-up process! It was probably the slickest large-scale stealth grow-op I've seen personally!! Waaay cool!!! I can't wait to see what you do with yours bro! I know it'll be killer!!! CONGRATS!!!! Best, -Max

Great work on the shatter Myco looks real tasty, would like to see how you purge it.

288 square feet of space would be crazy nice my brother. Your gonna be going through the dirt with all those ladies:). How tall are those containers? I know once you get that up and running it's going to be a wicked great show. Hope you take some pics of the construction and set up of the new space. Can't wait to see some of strains you put together with all the new space.

Hope you find a good company to run all the A/C in that new unit.;)

Congratulations on the upcoming grow space I know you'll be rocking it.:D

Thanks man... I've been processing my nuts off, I think I've dropped a total of 3-4oz of shatter at the dispensary... It keeps slipping my mind to take some pics of the rest of the process including purging.

Fucking a right? I'm stoked. And believe that, I'm going to start whipping up a couple/few yards of ROLS starter in the coming weeks so it's all proper when the time comes :) I'll certainly take some pics of the build-out and everything. I'll have two containers to setup, so there will be lots of construction going on. The ceiling is 8', which I would to have more height than 8' but I'll make it work. Shit, I've been dealing with 7'6" or some shit for a couple years in my main flower room, so any bit is an improvement haha.

Lol I'm sure I'll find somebody well-qualified for the task ;) Contemplating using one of these heat pump split systems I've got laying around and run some spiral duct down the length of the unit, or just go with mini-splits. Either way, the cooling is going to be siiiiiiick.

Thanks brother.

Lovin the oil setup man. Looking to omega right now as water bath is too hard to control the temps. Funny because I was gonna couple a surface mount omega thermostat to the pyrex dish but this looks waaayy better.

How did that RKU turn out?
Thanks Cap. Yeeep that was my main motivation, goddamn water bath. Yessir, I'd definitely consider going this route, and the only thing I'd recommend doing that I haven't done yet is to setup a dimmer or a Variac. The only problems I'm running into is having to manually decrease the setpoint while blasting... and also I'd like a way to secure the thermocouple to the heating pad, I had one run where the sensor slipped out during the final moments of boil-off/pre-purge and I ended up decarbing a load of oil when the pad overheated :/

RKU... I wasn't fully impressed. One Snow Lotus leaner turned out pretty nice, but all of the PU leaners were kind of 'meh'. I didn't get the fierce barnyard funky stank pheno like I was hoping, most phenos had a candystore/juicy fruit sort of twang. I could see how others would dig it, but just not really my thing. Moderate to good resin coverage... could've been better.

Thanks for stopping by man :D

P.S. Let me know if you want me to find links for the components I used...

Sweet man...nice run on the shatter...
Thanks man.

Now that is some stealth growing for sure lol... crazy! Sounds like a sick setup, but my guess is he was in a not-so-canna-friendly state eh? At any rate, that's pretty damn cool.

These containers are just plopped on an associate's property, but well away from prying eyes, and they don't look out of place necessarily, which is nice.

As as current happenings... Aside from blasting a shitload of material, I also have ~30 healthy ladies, mostly GG#4 with a few others thrown in, about ready to be transplanted to #5 smartpots. Been sorta slacking a little there, wanted them to be transplanted by now but have been suuuper fucking busy.

I'll have some pics soon.

Cheers!

@mayonnaise man I'm pumped all of these phenos are coming out with that trainwreck lime funk right off the bat...

The one I've kept thus far smells like trainwreck limes with an undertone of fuel or wd-40 or something with a cure :D I need to get some pics of those buds...

Feel free to share that girl here as she progresses... thanks for sharing my man! Cheers!

Well... I said I wasn't going to be popping any beans for a while but I think my seed addiction is getting the best of me. Not only did I score these testers:

IMG 20140915 162234

Lemon Diesel x 88g13/hp and Larry OG x 88g13/hp by Bodhi. The Lemon Diesel momma used in that cross is some flame... It's a southern Oregon cut that I've had my eyes on for quite a while. The same mom used is Bodhi's limited Lemon Penetration :D Then of course the Larry OG... I can imagine Larry being a nice match for the 88g13/hp male...

But also scored some Archive, such as Face Off BX2, Clusterbomb, Hell Raiser OG, Oregon Lemons (which also uses the same Lemon Diesel momma), Grimace OG... and Exotic Cookies & Cream... Awww shit.

The seed vault aka mini fridge is starting to get packed with gems, to the point to where I may not even be able to pop all of them in my lifetime lol.

In the meantime until the container project is online, I have some more space that just freed up, so, it's on and poppin'. No pun.

Peace and good vibes to all :)

I'll have a nice pic dump here in a few days likely... haven't taken many pics of this garden as it's came along, but now that I'm nearing the finish line, I couldn't resist to snap a few!

This room is filled with GG#4, and a few others. Grown in 100% recycled organic living soil, with addition of Cap's biobrew/AACT, Pro-Tekt, fulvic acid, kelp and alfalfa... although all quite sparingly. These girls mostly depended entirely on the soil, and from the results I'd say this batch of soil is rockin'.

And some full room shots.

, tall OG-ish looking gal towards the right from the center of this pic is a Goji OG that's possibly turning into something special.

In this room there is also SFV OG, Animal Cookies, my keeper from my Jilly x Sour Bubble cross, Annnnd.... a couple others that I can't remember right now ;)

Many more pics, and things in the works to come!

shiiat, been watching your vids too, exceptional my friend! That animal looks pretty amazing did you run her again? I'm just kinda sliding into the organic soil, so many ups and downs with hydro back to soil to rockwoll etc.. I guess soil seems to always have the most consistent results and happiest plants on the whole, sometimes i'll nail the button in coco and love it, then sometimes i'll miss and something suffers, anyways big fan, keep the pics coming.

Yeah I've got an animal girl in this room right now, she's just in a corner of the room that's hard to get clear pics of... but I'll get at her soon. Probably the most photogenic plant in the garden...

I've always had the best consistency in organic soil... every time I veg plants in coco they never seem to have the same lush growth. Just not for me I guess lol. Maybe it's the brand of coco I've used, but I always end up with FG and pH or salt build-up looking problems.

No biggie anyways, recycled soil is where it's at for me atm. Definitely recommend giving it a run...

Thanks man.

same here, i love some things about coco or wool but at the end of the day every time i run soil again i see the best growth, especially in vegg. I sometimes wonder what I'm doing wrong or not coin right in coco, then sometimes they are beast's, just too many swings. The current run I'm in is ocean forest and happy frog. i know that aint a full living soil but its a start:) been using caps bennies and teas too, boy do his bennies help. Ive never really been so happy with a product, we'll maybe bloomblastic back in the day! Also something about the flavor and knowing that i might not be hurting the momma earth quite as much as before, never felt right about throwing the wool away. coco just builds up in my backyard wich is fine got some awesome weeds growing cause of it.. anyways apreciate the work you do and the contribution to the cannabis community!

Yeah I don't know what it is about coco... I've considered flushing it out myself to see if I get better results, but trying to do that to accommodate 30+ plants just doesn't make sense... especially when recycling coco isn't recommended... and especially considering you have to drop $$$ on bottled nutes.

I'd take anyone to the bank on correctly used organic soil vs. any bottled line!

Cap's products really do wonders, especially when brewed. Kind of expensive used straight, but brewed and diluted goes a long way. And actually Cap mentioned recently that he's trying to work out a price drop...

If you're just getting into organic soil and messing around with Happy Frog and FFOF, if you still want to mess around with bottled products you should check out Nectar For The Gods. I've got some plants in veg in straight ProMix and have been using some of the NFTG line and have seen excellent results. Most of the products are quite affordable, pretty much organic and compatible with organic soil...

Right on man thanks for the nice words and droppin' by!

Took down 9 of the most finished plants yesterday to free up some space, to allow the less finished plants more light. Harvest pics coming soon... looking like this may be my best harvest in this room yet. Time will tell...
