Great work on the shatter Myco looks real tasty, would like to see how you purge it.
288 square feet of space would be crazy nice my brother. Your gonna be going through the dirt with all those ladies:). How tall are those containers? I know once you get that up and running it's going to be a wicked great show. Hope you take some pics of the construction and set up of the new space. Can't wait to see some of strains you put together with all the new space.
Hope you find a good company to run all the A/C in that new unit.;)
Congratulations on the upcoming grow space I know you'll be rocking it.:D
Slap
Thanks man... I've been processing my nuts off, I think I've dropped a total of 3-4oz of shatter at the dispensary... It keeps slipping my mind to take some pics of the rest of the process including purging.
Fucking a right? I'm stoked. And believe that, I'm going to start whipping up a couple/few yards of ROLS starter in the coming weeks so it's all proper when the time comes :) I'll certainly take some pics of the build-out and everything. I'll have two containers to setup, so there will be lots of construction going on. The ceiling is 8', which I would to have more height than 8' but I'll make it work. Shit, I've been dealing with 7'6" or some shit for a couple years in my main flower room, so any bit is an improvement haha.
Lol I'm sure I'll find somebody well-qualified for the task ;) Contemplating using one of these heat pump split systems I've got laying around and run some spiral duct down the length of the unit, or just go with mini-splits. Either way, the cooling is going to be siiiiiiick.
Thanks brother.
Lovin the oil setup man. Looking to omega right now as water bath is too hard to control the temps. Funny because I was gonna couple a surface mount omega thermostat to the pyrex dish but this looks waaayy better.
How did that RKU turn out?
Thanks Cap. Yeeep that was my main motivation, goddamn water bath. Yessir, I'd definitely consider going this route, and the only thing I'd recommend doing that I haven't done yet is to setup a dimmer or a Variac. The only problems I'm running into is having to manually decrease the setpoint while blasting... and also I'd like a way to secure the thermocouple to the heating pad, I had one run where the sensor slipped out during the final moments of boil-off/pre-purge and I ended up decarbing a load of oil when the pad overheated :/
RKU... I wasn't fully impressed. One Snow Lotus leaner turned out pretty nice, but all of the PU leaners were kind of 'meh'. I didn't get the fierce barnyard funky stank pheno like I was hoping, most phenos had a candystore/juicy fruit sort of twang. I could see how others would dig it, but just not really my thing. Moderate to good resin coverage... could've been better.
Thanks for stopping by man :D
P.S. Let me know if you want me to find links for the components I used...
Sweet man...nice run on the shatter...
Thanks man.
Ouhhhhhh....SA-WEET!!! You'll KILL it in that big box bro!!! That would make a bad-ass set-up!!! There was actually a guy at another forum I used to hang out on, that brought in heavy equipment and buried one about that size about 10-15 feet underground! He ran power, ventilation, in fact...everything underground! Pretty sure he plumbed water in too! I know he had his exhaust ventilation coming up somewhere in the middle of the woods! haha!! And I don't know if he actually DID this, or it was just discussed, but there was talk of building a small building on top, and setting it up as a fake welding shop...this is to disguise the power consumption. He documented the whole process with pics, so we got to see the land being excavated and the thing going in...as well as the whole set-up process! It was probably the slickest large-scale stealth grow-op I've seen personally!! Waaay cool!!! I can't wait to see what you do with yours bro! I know it'll be killer!!! CONGRATS!!!! Best, -Max
Now that is some stealth growing for sure lol... crazy! Sounds like a sick setup, but my guess is he was in a not-so-canna-friendly state eh? At any rate, that's pretty damn cool.
These containers are just plopped on an associate's property, but well away from prying eyes, and they don't look out of place necessarily, which is nice.
