I only speculated at that point, having topped for 24 colas, that that specific main root system was strangled out or rotted 🤷‍♂️. I begged for 17 weeks and in a mini hydro bucket, drought and uncontrollable light intensity and distance. It is possible that that leaf on that one was super close to the light in the tent and was a result of a prolonged light burn and reduced ability to take more? I kept guessing as to what it was. I never touched my nutes and kept trucking.

I took/chopped off 5 total main colas since and I think the one in the picture, I cut off at week 3 of flower.

Lots of good information in this thread. All I would add would be concerning the lighting. Whether this is your issue or not, I sense uncertainty in the thread. It's very important to get the lighting right (or close to it) and eliminate the lighting as a suspect going forward. Quality PAR meters are expensive. One thing I would suggest because it helped me (and continues to) is the photone app. Once it is calibrated to the specific fixture used, it will get you in close proximity to your desired intensity. Apple os requires a $6 purchase to unlock the led full spectrum. Android is unlocked already. I've found the iPhone performs better though. Then simply measure at the top of the canopy and adjust PAR, DLI, etc. It was a game changer for me.

So I’m in uncharted waters. Never been this far into a grow. All the pistols are dying off and the new growth in the “undercarriage” has almost stopped with those last few pistols still looking like new buds forming. I’m watching for the tricombs to turn to brown………. I know I need to flush two weeks prior. I need someone with some experience on the current situation. Should I do that now or give it time to grow? I dont want to cut her short of all her glory and I don’t wanna produce some nasty shiiiii id be ashamed of pulling out amongst friends.

I am assuming it’s time. It’s changing. I’ve watched it closely. Outside on pretty days and inside in shitty ones. My first one, I wanna “notice“ all the stages and changes. If I’m wrong on what I’m doing…… I got more on the way, I’ll get it right the next time or in the case of hydroponics, 4 months into it, I’m still struggling.

Im greeen AF when it comes to all this.
flushing, gonna do this 4 or 5 times and let it ride to see what happens. Takes about 30 minutes to drain after a full up. I put a gallon of fox farm sledge hammer first. It takes about 20 minutes to drain out completely. Gonna test EC after 4 cycles and when it is low enough for satisfaction, just going to water for two weeks then chop her down. Keep you posted.

I failed miserably at cloning after 2 flower. But I cloned befor flowering, the “larf” I think. But it’s thriving in some hydroponics.

ya some times when you clone in flower they are unsuccessful, but i definitely think she is ready to be harvested, sorry for the late response im also trying to time a plant harvest, you want to see about 50-60% of the pistils turn amber and then check trichomes to see about 30% of those amber and she should be good to cut, you want your ec right around 0.2 - 0.0 when flushing
