Bennies appear on their own in the presence of organics, you dont necessarily need to add them although i dont think it hurts, especially with coco. And coco does have a cec. A pretty strong one actually, though its usually loaded with potassium.
And yeah SST works well too. I used to use malted barley tea quite a bit, but ive found enzyme komplete to be far more effective honestly. You can really see it go to work on salt buildups when you use it in a non organic system.
@Theknowledgeplague yeah Id transplant those to bigger containers for sure. That could totally be giving you problems.
No I don't think bennies would do that but that's still an understatement more info? Because Plants will generally be safe if too much beneficial bacteria is added. Trouble occurs when there is a lot of organic buildups, numerous beneficial bacteria, and inadequate aerationI added bennies when i did my plain water feed and three nute feedings. So in 2 weeks they got 4 times the amount of great white mycos then they should have. I believe it fucked up my roots. Ive got the light green crispy lower leaves thing going on...just cut up my rootball then transplanted...shes not droopy which is really nice...
Point is can adding too many mycos too soon fuck up the roots?

Depends what your medium is.. soil I think organics would be amazing for a mom if in coco then 3 part solutions are good but you won't use bloom lolPlants were a little rootbound. Soil smelled of carrots which im sure is good.
Repotted also i cut the rootball down 50%. Whats the best nute line for mother plants?
I’ll no expert with the alfalfa and just make a tea by soaking meal in a bucket for a week, which allows the mixture to ferment (since there’s not much oxygen like in AACT) and develop beneficial bacteria. Then add some epsom salt before using (which improves nitrogen and Triacontanol uptake). You can also add fish emulsion and kelp but I rather use them in my AACT. I know some people add the alfalfa directly to their AACT, but since you’re using it as microbe food in that case, you only use a small amount, and why I do them separately.bump aqua you can hit em with some N but the growth centers will be a brighter more limey color thats natural.
Yes you should, like said above get some fish man! that will rock and is pretty avail. also as stated above most of the nutrition is washed out by how your watering so you need some liquid food to feed em right away and give it time for your top dressing to work. Fish is you friend....helpful tip water in your top dressing with some SST or compost tea to really get it rocking. And dont be in a rush, your getting back onto the right track, now make thought out moves to get to where you want to be. I top dress every ten days or so and feed weekly with fish plus doing some super water(compost tea, alfalfa kelp tea, malted barley tea). I try to do something different every third watering.
Also be sure to remember what aqua said about watering!! you want to correct your PH and then stop watering until runoff, just keep the soil moist and water to run off just to check your PH n stuff.....
mancorn, you rock the Rhodales thermophilic recipe? I have really really been wanting to try it!! This year i will! how do you ferment? I use alfalfa seeds and make sprouts then blend up and make a SST, also i like to use alfalfa meal in a tea and a top dressing. Old school Clakamus Coot stuff right there
I don't have any liquid food :o they all had a top dress and the 2 - 5gals are up on their regiment Soo nothing to do for them apart from conditioning their water, I'll ferment some alalfa meal like you mancorn sounds reasonable, but I'll also make a AACT right away for them because I'll be transplanting tomorrow.. I'll cut it with more water to extend it to all my 7 girls if neededI’ll no expert with the alfalfa and just make a tea by soaking meal in a bucket for a week, which allows the mixture to ferment (since there’s not much oxygen like in AACT) and develop beneficial bacteria. Hey man here's an update on the girls! Been watering everyday and started using the water buffer just missing some gypsum too actually bring down the ph cuz it's still around 7 once I get some gypsum I'll work it in little by little so I don't mess them up they look better honestly! Only 2 of the girls don't look 100% shits getting crouded gonna transfer to the 5×5 not gonna flip yet cuz I'm going from LED to HPS they will need time to adjust to that and I need to fix the issues before going into flower for sureThe reason I say don't worry about the PH to much is the plant and microbes will self adjust in a sense to thier needs.
If you see bright yellow new growth starting at the inner part that's an indication of a micro deficiency but other than that if they are happy let em be.
Organics you have much less control over so your traditional ppm and ph values are not as much use... especially ppm.
Looking good in there.Hey man here's an update on the girls! For my first indoor grow so far I ran into issues but nothing I can't fix.. but I'm not receiving any gypsum till March.. this flu delay really affecting me right now my hydro store is closed and doesn't accept pick upsLooking good in there.
IMO flushing now would would be a good idea. Don't know what size pots you're using but a good rule of thumb is 2-2.5 X the pot size. (I.e. For 5gallon pot flush with aprox. 10-12 gallons of water). After that let it dry and then appl y a light nutrient solutionI water every second day but I had cut back abit because of my ph lockout, gonna be easier to drop ph if it's about dryer over it being saturated in high ph water and mystic I'll try your slurry method and come back with results I usually test the runoff water in my saucers and it always reads over ph7
Why flush organics? Curious why you think they need flushed? They are hungry.IMO flushing now would would be a good idea. I'm with you on that one.. they pretty much got flushed for a week straight and that was bad because they didn't have much nutrients to thrive on but the moment they kicked back in growth I amended lightly because I was a few days before transplant (today) and now they are in their final pots I noticed that I had an air pocket around the root ball on some!! Is that bad? I did my best to fill the coco in and gave them a good wateringWhy flush organics? Curious why you think they need flushed? They are hungry.
My buddy is a farmer I will slide I word in I may pay the price for more if that's a good thing haha!organic never need flushing, were proud of what we feed!!! Also on the gypsum note you need to start thinking about agricultural products not hydro store crap. Feed stores and ag stores are your friend, gypsum and liming agents are rather common in large scale agriculture and should be easy to find for much cheaper than the hydro store. think organic alfalfa pellets instead of over priced meal from the hydro store..but looks your on the right track!! if you have alfalfa meal and a bubbler i can give your a recipe that will make some killer tea and get the color right. Or a bottle of fish would do the trick right now!
Well that's not my goal here, what may happen is I might mix my coco with supersoil for my next run of clones I'll just stick to it and see the results rightOr you can just change soul I always use living soil I never have worries
Or make my own coco/peat mixWell that's not my goal here, what may happen is I might mix my coco with supersoil for my next run of clones I'll just stick to it and see the results right
