Yeah a 600 dimmed to 250 might be very inefficient in terms of spectrum and power use. Better to full blast and raise it up.

I look for hints and get diamonds- every time I read a thread. Thanks for the light spectrum chart! Another crucial piece of the puzzle

then you are almost using a monochromatic lightsource

with HPS blue light being too low already at the full setting.
that's no bueno for veg because blue is needed for efficient photochemistry and promoting root growth
