Hey all! Decided to start a new thread since there’s so much that is new. Thanks to all the people that helped me out in the old threads!! Thanks a ton! I’ll go back and link this one for you guys.
Got a CMH 315 light, a 6in. online fan and carbon filter. And tried out coco. Using a random bagseed from years ago. Showed pre-flowed weeks ago.
Doing a push-through with the carbon filter. Still keeps a strong vacuum on the doors and such, so SHOULD do it’s job. It’s a big 6in Phat Filter. It says it works either way in the instructions lol. My nose for the herb sucks so I’ll have to have someone else tell me. Definitely get blasted in the face with the smell when i open both doors and not before that. Which leads me to think the filter is working wonderfully. Used like 5 layers of gorilla tape on the gaps/seams of the fan.
The main cabinet is 3ft wide, about 22in deep, and 5ish feet high.
Have the main single-chamber cabinet, and a smaller multi-chamber cabinet going currently. In the main chamber there is one freakin beast growing in straight Canna CoCo using canna nutes with some added Silica and some CalMag. She drinks 3 gallons of water every other day, hand fed. Usually feed her (per gal) the A+B at 10ml, with 8ml of Rhizotonic, 4ml of Silica Blast, 3ml of CalMag, and 10 ml of Cannazym. Comes out to like 760ppm. My tap is about 115ppm. Always pH to 5.8-5.9.... it stays much greener than at 6.0.
Tried going down to 8ml/gal of the A+B, but growth slowed and she got lighter green so upped it back to 10ml/gal. Gave her 11ml/gal last watering and she seemed to like it. Been keeping all the other nutes at the same dose.
Temps stay between 68-81*
She’s been vegging since 8/21, so about 10 weeks.
Have I ovengrown the cabinet? Lol! I think I’ll be able to fit her in here with some finessing. Need to flower NOW though! Have plenty of air circulation to help out on powdery mildew and such.
Something weird - on the last watering I looked closely at the runoff. I could see hundreds of tiny little springtails. Supposedly it’s a sign of a healthy symbiotic relationship going on in the roots? The plant is booming. In my opinion there’s been about no deficiencies or yellowing, even down below the canopy where it’s not getting much/any light. So I haven’t been doing much thinning out/pruning besides the little useless shoots trying to start way at the bottom. She just keeps chugging along and growing. Took lots of clones!!!
Any advice/tips? Anything/everything is appreciated!
Some pics of the lovely lady!
