whats up guies.do you think there is a taste difference as when u cut them down early befor lights come on or if you cut them down mid of the day or its only about the resin production.
Smell my fingers? BwaOutdoors, you wanna shoot for having to harvest all day long, every day for 2 weeks. :)
This is what I have read as well. I do harvest as soon as my lights come on. It really has to do with the biology of the plant. The plants knows when the lights will go on, much like humans know when the sun will be up, at which point they pump up all of their internal systems, including resin production. Think of it this way, to get up a hill one needs a little extra force to overcome the initial incline of the hill, the plants need to switch from respiration to photosynthesis, and they need a little extra force to make the change. This is why harvesting right at lights on, or moments before is optimal.[/QUOT not being funny honest but wat time you cut them down will make such a tiny tiny difference to anything that its irevalavent
it is true the plants shut down at night, but water content of the stems and leaves is the issue.the nasty tasting components(starches, carbs, etc.)are not circulating throughout the plant at night.they are stored in the roots.this means the are not in the buds which also means they will not be in your bowl..furthermore,extended periods of dark are THOUGHT to boost resin production.if u don't think it matters when you harvest in relation to light schedule then try this experiment.harvest one plant while the lights are on.harvest most of your crop just before lights on .harvest the rest(or at least 1)after 3 days of total darkness.compare the fully cured samples.you'll know what to do from that point on.:rastadancing:
