I have been using HID lighting since to 80's. In my 4 x 7 canopy i use 2400 watts on a mover now.
Been eyeing some LED panels at my local grow store, $1600.00 a panel!
I realize these are tailored towards industrial grows but if I'm going to switch I'm not going to start with the budget stuff, well, because it's never worth it.
I would like to build a system that is compatible to these high end panels, is it possible?
So,, who is the guy here? Where are the threads for DIY legit LED systems?
Thanks in advance.

If the DIY thing is not for you, check out growers choice RIO-680. About 1k per unit and on PAR with the gavita and Fluence products. The growers choice have an onboard dimmer switch. I run both the growers choice and gavita. No sure if one is better than the other. Believe LED is the future

Wow, I like!
I'm wanting to replace 4 - 600 watt HID's.
How many actual watts does your system draw?

I can pull just over 700w real power from the wall, with incredible penetration(like a porn star) I have full build info on another thread and have links to everything. Been runningno issues

So I'm thinking 8 of these will do what I'm trying to do.
QB288 V2 R SPEC QUANTUM BOARDS
And I'll need 2- 4 panel drivers and trying to decide on heat sink material.

they are not my 'go to guy' just trying to share what ive been looking at

im trying to justify buying a 600w ballast and bulbs, even called the hydro store to check price and stock. $208(canadian) for the 600 watt ballast.

looking fantastic,

all those Quantum boards look like there is some assembly required. frustrating looking at so many websites. good luck finding something, i gave it a few hours of looking and my eyeballs are worn out
