And if you were in any case right and ignore the fact that we most likely live miles and boarders away, would there been something wrong? :)
Awww, somebody has got a crush!

yep, but you have to make sure you dont split the stem, just gently crush and bend. Not done it yet myself, just what i've read :) If what i done was super cropping it was a bit brutal, that girl still sulking about it ha ha
Topping is the method to create more bud sites, its the difference between 1 Big Cola on top and as mentioned earlier, fluffy small buds around the lower, Or lots of main Colas. Topping or super cropping can seem a bit scary at first but really pays dividends in the end. My girls are looking very good for it, as you know as you've been following my grow :) yes its me :) first time indoor grow, Newbie 1. Messed up the access to my profile so had to set up a new one. And no, that avatar is'nt me, im nowhere near as good looking as that lol :-)I said it once and i'll say it again, any advice is welcome :) So if i understand you correctly, no topping, pinching or cropping after veg? I think i'm just going with lst this run, i don't feel to sure about topping and/or super cropping with lst. as long as I'm just vegging them lst will be fine?
I strongly disagree, I bend tops with full grown buds that get to close to the light almost every grow. You have to support them of course. I use yoyos, but don't see any negative results. I just rub the side of the stem that I want the top to bend towards with my thumb till it softens up and bends over.I would like to add a couple things about bending the plants.
First off, I think it is fine to do it in VEG only. Bent stems grow into thick knuckles of stem, however that is only if they are in the early part of vegatative stage, or early flower (before the end of stretch). Any bending done after the stretch will not heal, and will start to rot in the crease, leaving you in a state of shock at what you did wrong.
A very simple mistake can cost significant yeild.
So my point here is plan carefully, and do not BEND/PINCH any stems after week 1-2 flower, preferably finish the process of bending and pinching before the last week of VEG.
I do see how you are training these plants, and this is all fine (you haven't crushed the cell wall of the stem,
however some times you pinch a little to hard, or when you mist your plants (etc.), and the stem crushes, this is mostly what I am talking about when I say bend and pinch.
This is the type of damage to the stems that does no heal once the stretching is complete.
So yeah, less is more in my books.
Denfinitely gonna remember that, good chance i'll need it :) thanks!I strongly disagree, I bend tops with full grown buds that get to close to the light almost every grow. I've only grown in tents so height always comes into play. With a 7' tent you only have 4-5' of actual grow space when you take the container height and how far the light hangs at its highest point.Denfinitely gonna remember that, good chance i'll need it :) thanks!
You could top right now if you want.hahah, that made me smil good :D yeees, your grow is looking real fiine. maybe i'll throw in a topping or two. should i do it now? both main tops :p ? LOL i have like no idea on that subject.
Well if you make at least one person smile in a day youve done a good job :-) lol. I topped when they had reached 4th node, just cut when the stem has got long enough to reach in with scissors or blade, minding not to damage the new growth from 3rd node. They will then develop into 2 new branches. I let them get long enough to LST and when the head of each branch turned upwards towards the light i topped them again, they in turn form 2 new branches each. The side shoots also start shooting out from the branches, I let every thing settle and grow for a while and when the heads had reached the same level, topped again. And I've just continued that way since creating more and more bud sites :-) Hey Im no expert lol just learned from tons of you tube vids and the good folks on here. Its surprising what you learn in a short amount of time. Im starting to check out chemistry and stuff, never thought id see the day ha ha. :-)hahah, that made me smil good :D yeees, your grow is looking real fiine. maybe i'll throw in a topping or two. should i do it now? both main tops :p ? Just as well im switching mine then bro. My tents only 6' and them girls are getting big :-) Hope their going to fit :-( lolI've only grown in tents so height always comes into play.
