Zen’s SCROG Winter 2022 to 2023

10 to 14 days depending on size in my old fridge.hopefully quicker on this one

Last time I had some dry under 15 days it wasn’t good. But sounds interesting.

I was offered a wine fridge when an uncle passed but turned it down. Wifey doesn’t drink and if a bottle is opened for a meal we finish it.

Now I might regret that decision.

Throw a hygrometer in there and drop some pics time to time. Any issues laying on the racks sideways?

I will find out.when I cut a bunch down I'm gona just fill the racks sideways.ordered another small fan.not realy practicel with a huge grow.but I just run2- 2X2.they are on different schedules, usualy I only have a half lb to hang.hopefully it works out I don't have any other place to dry but my grow room.it gets to warm stuff drys to fast and smells like straw.

If that’s all you need it’s all you need. I have rooms but not the proper environment. Even the downstairs bathroom isn’t the best.

Like I said, had that problem once. I know the smell. Took a long time for that to change.

Only a few hours later and the clones look good after the LST. I give them a very light foliar spray a few hours after LST. Seems to help and get humidity up.

The tops and most leaves are already pointing up. Just a few branches still need to come up.

The new canopy is frosting up and turning purple fast.

Tweaked the top SCROG screen. Removed the crappy plastic net.

Offset the legs on one side so I can fold it down with long legs on it for storage. Just need to do the bottom net when it’s free from Topper. Otherwise they won’t lineup to stack.

The new net is supposed to be 3’x3’ but it seems that’s only a diagonal measurement.

Might have to get the 4’x4’ and see if that works better.

Frame is only 2’10” square.

Flower Day 63 Week 9:

Now that things are back to being more of a normal grow I can see the buds and leaves turning purple almost overnight.

I’m planning to take the second harvest by Saturday evening. I’ll toss them into the hanging rack in the bathroom shower.

I’ll move last weeks harvest to paper bags and put in fridge. Then later jars.

That will leave one final harvest for the following week.

Then I’ll focus on the clones and start our garden seeds. Tomato, green peppers and one other to start.

RH: 55-70%
Temp: 20-26c
PH: Soil with Dolomite
Light: 440W LED @ approx 60%
HVAC: ACI T6 inline & booster
Air Flow: 6” Grip Clip isolating Fan
Soil: Sunshine Mix #4
Add: Jobe’s 4-4-4
Add: Gaia Worm Castings
Add: Epsom
Nutes: Botanicare Trio + Karma

Still alive. Green is returning faster. I can no longer crack the soil seem between new and old by picking up the pot. Looks like the roots are in the newer soil finally.

Need to defoliate a bit more. The slow grow or pre-veg really made the nodes grow tight. Also had to do a bit of HST on the thicker main branches. Will need to do it once more before going into SCROG.

For now keep doing LST and plucking leaves. Flower tent isn’t available for another 7-9 days.

Flower Day 65 - Week 10:

Filled the jars after 24 hours in the fridge. Sitting at RH 58% so jarred and boveda packs are in.

9 day dry is a huge concern.

One harvest left to go next week before cleanup and final tent move for the clones.

Temp: 18-27c
Light: 440w LED @ 70%
Cycle: 6/2x3 = 18/6

Looking much healthier. Colours back but needs a haircut. Still has water weight.

Need to do some defoliation & more LST. Probably after next watering/feeding.

I need them at their best before the final move. No more light/heat stress issues.

Took the bags out of the fridge to breath.
All three at 38.5F & RH 91% but one at 95%. Probably more in one.

Leaving open on the counter until ready to go back in.

Jars are between 68 and 72% RH. Burped to 58%.

Just an update on the drying methods:

1st harvest off Topper went into the shower for 8 days and stayed around 18* to 22* and 55% to 75% RH.
Most times it was 20* & RH 60%.

Next was putting it in a paper bag in the refrigerator. But the next morning it was at 56% so I moved it to jars and started burping and added 58% packs.

2nd top harvest from Topper went straight into paper bags. Humidity hit 90%, 95%, and 99%. I assume quantity in each bag made a difference. I take the bags out once in morning and once at night to lower humidity.

First thing in the morning two bags in the high 50’s & one at 75%? All open on fridge shelves. Put on counter and all back in 90’s again. Will pull at night again.

3rd & final harvest Saturday. Not sure on method yet.

Clones are looking good. Couldn’t wait to get into the flower tent so now I have major defoliate to do.

3 days until move to new home.

I hope I can get tucking right but if not I’ll HST to keep them down. Better than another BBQ.

Had to water them as they got to dry before Sunday’s move.

Each got 3.5L
10ml/3.5L Karma
15ml Epsom tossed on soil

Not like I have to carry them too far.

Gentlemen, thanks for getting me over a couple ruff patches. Your advice helped make a big sick plant into a nice harvest. If I hadn’t had the BBQ I’m sure it would have yielded much more.

One last harvest tonight by 7pm. No reason other than that’s when lights com on.

From left to right is longest dried to just out of the refrigerator on the right.

I don’t do wet weight anymore but will dry weigh later when all is harvested and dried.

Running out of jars. Guess that’s a good problem to have.
