whether you agree with him or not... that boy can type!

Finally someone calls me out for what it is. It's not that I'm trying to lord myself over people. If I'm better at something than anyone on this site it's having a lot to say and typing extremely fast. I imagine that people have this image of me slaving over these long posts for hours at a time. The reality is that they take me all of a few minutes to type up. It'd be generous to say it took me 30 seconds to type out this reply.

I think GPS is pretty fucking invasive....and not talked about much at all.

Just check out earth-google and zoom into someones back yard. And I am quite sure other agencies have higher tech access to increased zoom, thermal imaging, seeing through roofs/walls, etc.

Nanites ken; Nanobots are a whole other beast to tame on it's own; but nanites are strictly for physiologic control........Take it easy

Thank you for the correction Ohio! :)

Why is Obama changing the language of Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) to allow foreign corporations operating in the United States to appeal key regulations to an international tribunal. The body would have the power to override U.S. law and issue penalties for failure to comply with its rulings. Essentially allowing corporations to suck dry natural resources, having more power than sovereign states and disallow citizens to get in the way and demand that the government do something. Very similar to the Monsanto Protection Act. This according to a leaked chapter last year being ramped up in secrecy as of this week. Is this just another reason he's declared war on leakers? Is he just another corporate shill..you bet ya.
TPP could have been a great tool to get trade reform going in China..and instead makes our very Democratic Laws and Constitution void.

It's this thing called goodwill.

We're at a significant economic disadvantage when it comes to imports/exports with most of the companies covered therein. This encourages them to continue to give us favorable terms for trade agreements.

Are you saying im stupid? I am Open minded bro!
Praticly Everything is possible ;)

and I know, Jesus Loves me! :woot:

Correction: Only what is possible is possible.

In the future we might have tiny MAVs and nanobots--but it's just not something that's around yet. Thinking we've got stuff like this crosses the line from open-minded to paranoid.

I often wonder why human creatures lived like cavemen for thousands and thousands of years and then all of a sudden...like in the last 80 years or so... high tech shit blew in out of nowhere. Kinda crazy if ya think about it.

i like the joe rogan approach..... "humans are cancer to the earth, we are like mold on a sandwich."

which is very true. think about it. tornado tears it down? we rebuild. hurricane? rebuild. bigger, badder, stronger.

the ever evolving bacteria called human beings....

he also touches a good point about us being special strictly because our ego tells us we are.....

some times you gotta take a deep breath and say

Fuck It.

I think it's funny Joe Rogan is supposed to be a voice for the counter culture- but he has basically the same message as the so-called elite who apparently are working toward culling the population...
I tend to agree though... a good old bottleneck event is good for almost every species

It sure is.

Most who ask this question from a historic/scientific perspective blame this on three major advances--advanced language, writing, and number systems.

Language is obvious.

Writing allows knowledge to be passed down without each generation having to learn from its own mistakes, and number systems open up the world to scientific inquiry.

That is a stupid statement

You dont know squat sqigg

How is that statement stupid? Because it's redundant?

All it does is point out the obvious, which you chose to overlook. Everything is not possible. For instance, can you be a cat? No, you're a human--you can't be a cat. Therefore your statement that everything is possible is wrong and stupid.

When it comes to tiny MAVs, you're right--I don't know a huge amount about that stuff. I do have a good understanding that we don't have the right materials yet to do that kind of thing. There are some engineering barriers to producing something remote controlled and mosquito sized. There's plenty of reading you can do to convince yourself of this, but yes I can admit it's possible there's some shit we don't all know about yet.

When it comes to nanobots, not a chance. This is in my wheelhouse. We're super far away from having these. If we were even CLOSE there would be some carry over into "known" science from that. We're quite far away from having this type of technology--we're still learning about nanoparticles and how we can use these, functional nanomachines with directed uses are out of our grasp right now. We're still developing the "machinery" that will go into these.
