Death valley is supposed to be up to 134 degrees this saturday!Well over 100 yesterday and hotter today here,106 tommorow and 108 sunday, july and august are gonna be crispy.
You forgot about September. I recall it sometimes being the hottest month of the year. I remember a weekend in SoCal that hit the 120 mark three days in a row, killed my pond of fish. Woke up one morning and they were all dead, appeared to have succumbed to anoxic conditions.

I heard that hot veg temps can cook the PM right out of your plants. Talking 110F or so. Anyone know about this?
from what i read the sun and its UV rays will take care of PM, or somethin like that :)

we got up to 109 again the other day and guess what i was doing?? painting the gables and facia of a 2 story house, it had to be 130 up there :( my sunglasses would fill up with sweat every time i bent down to get more paint. it just rained 3 nights ago too, C'mon Cali, get it together

I had a mild bout of PM 2 years ago. I had success with using a light mix of baking soda/water, sprayed it on and then shut up the greenhouse and let the temps go to 110 degrees for the day. Gone. ........and no relapse.

I also noticed my clones got the PM but my females started from seed were not effected. It is said (by some folks) that MJ grown from seed may have a better immune system than clones.

Good ventilation, thinning out fan leaves and spreading out branches is key.

A toasty 108 right now,lol.

109 here right now..:meh: 19% humidity...going up to 40% tonight :sour:

I had a little PM on some plants from overcrowding the GH.
bout six weeks ago, I used A bio fungicide called Cease. (Fungus eating bacteria)
all gone now :)

131 in the greenhouse, plants love it, thanks solex....

Hens don't like this heat. egg production is down by 70%...
their metabotlsim is slowed, eat less, less production.
Big demand this time of year, supply low, sucks.....

I've been hosing down areas of the run for my girls. They bitch a blue streak and run around like... well, like chickens with their heads cut off (which I've seen, so that always sparks a picture in my mind), and then when the water stops falling from the sky they come to investigate, and next thing ya know they're all up in that muddy dirt, bathing and rolling around.

Its been hot the last week. If i didn't water/feed before I left for work and then again as soon as I get home the plants will wilt and stress in #5 pots. plants are only 3ft tall bushes, grown with little pruning. A few toppings is all. Good luck with the heat everyone

Peace

Keep yourselves hydrated, too. Deaths are predicted.

ive heard of a bird bath but this is ridiculous :)

109 and feelin fine!!! poor animals though, we closed the backyard for the cats today, seems like the squirrels are hot too, i keep refilling the bird bath about every 2 hours, they keep coming back and laying in it. i was thinking about putting in a cool little pond/waterfall with no fish, just to have a watering hole for birds and such. i have a little zen type rock waterfall , but its to tiny for outdoors.

It's going to be 111 here again today..scatter clouds 30% RH No problem for the plants.

Have to keep the animals cool and watered too.
last years dog pool sprung a leak...had to get a couple more from Kmart
She appreciates it!
