well the 600 gavita runs standard 600 watt bulbs so was it 2 dif strains? this is what im talkin about,how am I supposed to believe that?what I would like to see is a grower we all know run a side by side 1000 & 1000 ,same strains and methods. and do a video or take a lot of pics from the same angles to show the differences.im not saying gavita sucks,im saying the stories are getting better and better lol. I have seen a eye hort side by side with a plant max on the same flood table,both 600 w and the eye side looked waaaaay nicer.

Hmm sounds suspect... Doesn't sound like your buddy's grow is a very good side by side. My granny can even yeild a LB from a 1000w. Maybe if he was maxing out his 1000w at 900 grams or something close I'd listen. An AAW in a tent just sounds like a bad idea. Sorry not trying to be a dick...

Not a normal bulb,its true the 600 is a SINGLE ENDED bulb but it is a philips green power 400v bulb and is supposed to last just like the DE bulbs in the 1000s and assorted other benefits.Gavita doesnt even cater to MJ peeps,the commercial greenhouse industry is their bread and butter we just get to ride the coattails of millions spent in research and development by them and their partners(think Philips;))to build high quality high performance lighting for another industry.Do you think ANY other company does that?Even the best names like quantum or solis tek are chinese imports that spend all their money on marketing to you and zero on Rand D.
As for the grow it was all the same strain,pineapple express,in tents 5 plants per,lucas formula nutes i think.I wasnt there except to chop and help trim,He only has a few grows under his belt so i dont even think he really knows the difference between light brands those were just the 2 he was sold at the shop,first the 600 then the 1000,hes just stoked to be growing and smoking his own weed now,myself and another friend were the ones who noticed and asked him to check the yield on each tent or he would have thrown it all in one big pile,lol.

see now I just went to my local grow store and these tards don't even know what they are selling.they told me I could run any bulb I wanted in the 600,but I had to use the special de bulb for the 1000 which I knew.maybe your buddy got a better yield because of the tents also,maybe the 600 ran around 75f and the 1000 was 88-90f and that's why the better yields.i would just like to see a side by side that's controlled,same temps,rh,nutes,everything. and it would be even better by someone that's been running a strain long enough to have it on lock down,ya know.

Not being a dick at all walter,i think the aaw is a bad idea in a tent also and its not a good side by side as it never was intended to be one.Hes brand new at this and between the grow shop and all his buddies giving free advice i have stayed out of it except to lend moral support,I am the one that told him to stick with 1 strain he liked until he got his legs under him though,he can always work on getting yield up later but first he needs to concentrate on growing healthy plants to fruition,lol,which he was having a problem with until the last rounds.

I been on the monster site digging around for info on these damn 600 gravitas,and the big ones for that matter.they will run a wide range of voltages,but if you aint got 400v they aint burning 400v.cold start is totally dif then running watts or volts.its why they use 1000w or 600w as the standard.they claim 108,000 lumens on the 1000 which aint much compared to my 95,000 and 92,000 l bulbs.but they have the par dialed better it seems.so yeah its a good light for growing but double the power or lumens,no.i do want one even more after reading up on them lol.be nice to start a thread on these and keep this one on track with yields.
