Woods, I have tried two different trimmers multiple times and had very bad experience with both. My buddy owns them and rents them out for I think $200 a day?? Anyway, the ones I used were - Trimpro Rotor workstation and the other one was a Trimpro XL I think. Anyway, hated them for multiple reasons. If you are willing to spend up to $15k there are some real good ones out there obviously the more expensive ones. Check out this site - pottrimmerreviews com
At the Emerald Cup I was looking at two trimmers at this one booth. One was HUGE, ginormous, but they started talking about how it works and, then my husband started talking to another rep about a much smaller hand-held unit called the Wanderer or something like that. Now I wanna go look it back up, BRB.

Ok, this is the hand-held unit (appropriate for someone like me who isn't turning over 80lbs at a time).

Lemme find a link to the large unit. I guess this place sells various trimmers, they aren't a manufacturer of a single brand.

Here we go:
I don't know if anyone's used this thing ^^^ but it looked pretty darn good to someone who doesn't like the idea of carefully growing buds to then toss 'em in a machine.

I heard good things about the Satellite one. At the end of the day there is nothing like hand trim but it is a long process and sometimes to hard especially when the weight is up there. Around here there are trimming crews that charge $9/hr. If you do end up getting that one woods pls let me know how it works out bec I am also looking into a good one but don't want to spend a couple grand and its shit. Would rather pay a lot and get top quality and not regret it after one time.

I have heard lots of good about the Satellite and it's 8 to $9,000. A crew is out of the question as the laws in Canada are very strict for commercial growers and people need a LEO check and a government security clearance, yup thats right, a security clearance. It will be a few months before I buy one, but should be ready by March to rock and roll.

Centurion for the win. hands down better than the twister and much more affordable. I just bought one last week after borrowing one a couple times. I have rented the twister as well and I personally think the Centurion Pro Does a better Job.

I was told that the Centurion was not made well say compared to the Twister, but of course it's 1/2 the price. What type of through put do you get?

Do you have any dry shots from the centurion?

I believe the centurion would cost more, much better built. I must say the model I am familiar with is about 7 years old.The twister was new 2 years ago. JK
I might have some pics of the machine I'll look.
Edit: These are the only ones I can find, this one a good friend saved my ass when I had to take in a 18 k by myself.

I've used the TrimPro and the table top models in general. Been clipping for 10+ years by hand and machine. If you can really afford the budget you say then the best trimmer you can currently buy is this:
http://emeraldtrimmers.com/

It's not well publicized or known about except by people in Mendo and Lake county who are professional clippers. The man who makes them is John, and if I remember right he is a former Nasa Engineer. He is a great guy who stands by his product with true grit. It's entirely made in USA, all parts, everything. On top of that the guy will bend over backwards to make sure you are satisfied. Besides this it really is the best machine you can buy. He will even help you set it up to clip the specific type of bud you are trimming as each strain really has to be handled differently to keep yield high and damage to the trichomes low.

If you don't believe me just contact the guy, any question you can think of... He has the answer.

That might be a good trimmer, but the website looks poorly made. I mean, the year says 2012 for god sakes.

20-40 Lbs a day there is nothing other then the twister, I have the T2, 10 people can not keep up with it, I can have a six foot table load to the top with buds before I even turn it on and the twister will be done with the whole pile and I will shut it down again and have to wait for more bud, I also bought the single rail witch lets you adjust the angle witch gives you even more production out of the trimmer, also use Pam or by the new clear cut that's the shit you want a twister for what your doing shit will look hand trimmed !!

You would think people would come up with another design but everyone seems to copy the centurion. Why is this model better, I do like the 2 vac ports rather then my one. JK

The new centurion has 2 vac ports now. one in front and one in back on the tube. I will try to get some pics of it today.

As oscar just mentioned.. I usually have 5-6 guys help me and we pull big fannies (only so trim is of higher quality) and debone for about an hour. Then I will start the machine once I have the hopper full and a 30 gal tote.. machine runs for prob 15- minutes then waiting for more material. I usually run everything through twice as well. there are a couple different models going around from what I hear. A guy that worked for centurion tried to duplicate the centurion (or did), But my understanding is it has a smaller blower and only one vac line in the middle of the tube. there was a guy repping to be centurion in CO selling these for $4500. The real unit looks like this and has two vac ports.. I paid $6200 at wholesale from the rep in CA

Is that handheld trimmer not just a small flowbee, but for weed?

Seems like you might be able to adapt the flowbee for a lot less money.
