Hopefully the sulfur didn't effect things so I can give a proper report of the effectiveness of Dr. Zymes. I definitely think that mixing things up is crucial to success with these bugs. I was depending too much on Avid and Forbid.

I'm going to pick up some more Dr. Zymes to treat the main garden. (Prewash to clean residue from previous Avid spraying?) Then I'm going to Met 52, Conserve SC and then Movento.
I agree mixing things up is the best way! And A paint sprayer ;) Or a fogger
Cant hurt to wash em down the morning before spraying in the evening.
That Movento is a systemic, I didnt read anyfurther..is that for late in bloom?
If you used the avid correctly it should still be killing or at least paralyzing them.
And, the forbid should have killed the eggs
Like Cannacrone said...The spray method seems to make the difference.
I wish I would bought this sprayer a couple years ago..
Maybe then, I would have been able to keep them away in the first place
Next year..I know what to do..and spraying plain water isnt it.
I think they may have enjoyed the daily showers I was giving them(the russets im mean)
They certainly didn't mind em:banghead:

As a circa '70s trained biologist, I can't see how frass could 'supercharge' an enzyme tea.
Frass would feed microbes, and perhaps allow some of the enzymes to work, but creating more active enzymes is unlikely.
It's more likely that the microbes will eat your enzymes.

Thank you for that insight. So it sounds like the frass could help generate more of the microbes in Met 52 then?

I tried a hudson fogger and I didn't really like it. I had to stand way back in order to not have the mist blow right through the plants. Also, it was easy to get the center of the plant but getting the tops and bottoms properly covered was much more difficult. Since then I've been using a 4 gal. backpack sprayer with a fine misting wand which probably takes more time but I can ensure every part gets covered. How much solution does one of those paint sprayers hold?

Movento is intended for food crops and can be used until the end. I have no idea if it is going to be effective or not. Malathion is another one that can be used until the end. It was recommended at the local Home Depot for killing Russets but I haven't seen anything online mentioning it. I used it once and it is definitely not something to be used when the plants are going to soon be getting direct sunlight.

The Russets are developing resistance to Avid and Forbid. Others in the area are reporting the same issue. The avid knocks them down for a few days but then they come right back. The Forbid kills many eggs but not all of the eggs.

Rotation is my new focus. I'm getting more Dr. Zymes to treat the remainder of the garden tonight. Then I'l spray the frass over two nights and then spray the Met 52. Then on to the Movento and then maybe malathion.

Im glad I didnt depend on the avid and forbid then.
Ive probably sprayed a dozen things..ive lost track
Ive never heard of anyone useing Malathion on pot plants.
But i know it kills alot of stuff!
My paint sprayer uses a 5 gal bucket :) but I could use a small trash can if I wanted to
200 bucks at lowes
Airless

I can adjust how hard it sprays.

Still seeing them under the scope at reduced numbers. What should I do??? please help. Outdoor in southern oregon
it case some folks missed it, Here is what I did
morning july 29th,(day 1) I sprayed Aspirin (325mg per gal.) and SM90(couple cap fulls per 4gal bucket)
Then, that evening I sprayed Azamax (1.2ml per gal) and soil drenched with it and 325mg per gal aspirin too.
The plants looked better the next day! :)

Then, I waited till aug.1st (day 4) and I sprayed azamax and sm90 early in the morning.(it was cloudy)

On aug. 2nd, I sprayed with Caps Biowar foliar and seagreen.

On the 3rd, I suited up in tyvek, wore goggles, gloves and a respirator, Then,
I sprayed Avid and SM90

On the 4th (Day 7) I sprayed Biowar foliar and Seagreen again because they seem to like that..and they were all growing new leaves! :)

I rested on the 5th :)
Then, in the morning, aug. 6th, day 9
I sprayed Both, Avid(1.2ml per gal) and Forbidf4((1.2ml per gal) and a few caps of sm90 all at the same time.
24 hours later,
the next morning (day 10) i rinsed them off real good, and then used the Met52 ec. That stuff is strange and im not sure if I even did that well..
shit wouldn't stay mixed, i had to keep mixing it. (need to try again later)
,Aug. 8th (day11) I sprayed the Flying skull Nuke em.

Then, I broke out the Met52ec again, and sprayed it a couple more times also.
I used a whole package of actinovate sprayed and drenched

Now im spraying spinosad and BT to prevent bud worms

has anybody dealt with these little bastards after harvest? I think they're zombies and unlike a spider mite they are still interested in eating your flowers while they're hanging. any solutions? not sure we can expect to get every one of them. One person told me to dunk my flowers in Nuke em. Not super keen on the idea of dipping nice flowers.
also heard they die in a freeze. Could you freeze your flowers? before they're dry or does that cause it's own problems?
also a hassle until they're processed and they won't fit.

they infected my indoor before I knew what's going on and I have some flowers that will be ready in about 10 days so I'm trying to figure out a game plan. It seems I can't find any on flowers with significant sugar. Is this because they can't crawl around the sticky sugar or just that these demons haven't got to those flowers yet and that's why I still have sugar?

Thanks everybody, we're all in the same boat here.

When I went to the Emerald Cup last year, the guy who runs... aw fuck... a frass supply outfit (I am TOTALLY blanking out on the name of the company!) he told me to do a 2hr brew on the frass because at the 2hr mark a particular species of bacteria (again, more brainfarting here) would be cultured at that point. No more time would be needed, according to him, and less time wouldn't give the populations. IIRC (puff puff!), it's a bacterium that affects/attenuates SARS.

Your problem will be solved on Tuesday! Post back on the results bro! I know you will be happy. People are being Converted slowly but everyone who has used the Conserve with 100% success and 100% conversion.

I dunked my plants in conserve on Monday and today they are still cruising. I didn't see 2 spotted on the label though.

It worked for me and atleast 10 other people. There is nothing it doesn't kill. Mites, Russets,Aphids,Thrips. I can get so many people to come on here and vouch for the Conserve. Its made specifically for Agro.

I will do second application in a few days then and wait and see. Funny because I had the conserve sitting on the shelf for a few months before I heard you talking it up, just never used it. Now with a few mites I thought I would try it out.

Here's from one of the moderators Skunkmasterflex.

"Spider mite killer.....iv had these fuckers 4 dozen times. Where I live its pretty much a valley and they are all over plants even outside. I had to go as far as to treat my whole yard....my neighbors on both sides of me as well.
Here is what's up.....
A product called conserve sc. It's expensive but the only thing iv cam across that works crazy magic and is harmless to the plants. Whenever I kick off the lights and spray, when I turn lights back on they are all crazy bright green and have actually grown. Iv used mighty wash, azamax and pretty much everything listed by others in this thread. Most of those products work decent but the mites become resistant to those products.
If your spot is anything like mine....as far as size of grow and location, this would be the only thing to make sure you deal with them completely .....
Conserve sc @ 3 ml per gallon with a tsp of coco wet. Spray the entire plant down Drenched. Front side of leaves and back side and the stalks and tops of the soil. I even spray the walls and outside the buckets. Use gloves and long sleeve clothes and pants. Come people get irratated skin when they come into contact with it. Repeat this process every 14 days.
In between treatments with the conserve sc use neem oil at the rate of 2ml per gallon with a tsp of coco wet. Apply neem every 3 days.
After 30 days of this cycle I'm usually completely mite free. I have learned the trick is to spray once a month with the conserve as a prevention. That's where iv made my mistakes....that and leaving town and hoping my assistant stays on the spraying cycle....which never happens lol...
The conserve you can use in bloom. I don't spray the flowers and I stop using it 3 weeks before harvest to ensure any residue is evaporated. The neem I stop spraying 4-5 weeks before harvest as iv found it doesn't leave the plant as fast as the conserve.
Just wanted to share my endless mite battle story and technique with yall. Hope it might help a few of you guys.
Good luck with the battle. Won't be the last time you see them. Mites are the Fuckin devil....but iv never had aphids so those may be worse. Figured crossed to never see those fuckers lol.
Hope everyone is having a great day ~smf~"

I'm not going to come on here and lie to anyone. I've used just about every insecticide product out there. This is the first time since I started growing 5 years ago that I have been bug free and it's all been with minimal effort. I was using organics, oils, ogbiowar, nasty chemicals. Even some of the nasty chems don't work, Triazicide was one of them. The organic's was a lot of work, I had to spray atleast once a week and I was still getting bugs. Some of the nasty chems did work but I was exposing myself to harmful chemicals and they needed to be reapplied regularly. The Conserve SC is pretty safe and it has the knockdown power I'm looking for that only comes from those nasty chemicals.

Next time someone comes on here and says,"Help! What should I do? I have bugs!" Either buy the Conserve and fix the problem or mess with BS soaps and oils that 90% of the pack uses.
