Lol. Watch a movie. As soon as I sit down am out.
Me, too! In fact, I started an episode of NOVA that I started falling asleep to yesterday, so I stopped it to pick up again today.

So I forgot that a couple of weeks ago I watched another 'coming of age' flick that I really enjoyed. A Birders Guide to Everything, came out this year so it's fresh and moisty.

And... I'm brainfarting on another one I was going to recommend, a Werner Herzog film because I fucking LOVE Werner Herzog. If you can catch it, watch his documentary on Antarctica, I'll have to look up the title. Here we go! Encounters at the End of the World is what it was called. Here's a Wiki link to his filmography, I think you'll be a little blown away when you see some of the titles to his credit.

Btw Seamaiden,I really enjoyed the Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada. :)
Sylvia Earle and Eugenie Clark are two amazing women. I'm so glad you enjoyed that movie! I love it, but had another experience with it after seeing El Buen Pastor.

Yeah, Robert Blake. Dude is a crazy madman in real life which might have helped him be uber-creepy in that movie.

This isnt a movie per say. but its a internet series with jerry seinfeld where he takes a antique car and picks up a comedian friend and has coffee. they are short like 10-20 mins top but its pretty good IMO. no acting just 2 guys talking over coffee.

David Lynch incorporates dream sequences into his films. He's one of few who try to make films involving sequences with premonitory dreams and such. His series Twin Peaks was just as strange and interesting. Not many shows tackle occult ritual sacrifice stuff and that one delves deep. Also I have a soft spot for the show because Dr. Jacoby was modeled after Terence McKenna.

True Detectives is a series I've watched several times through in the past year or so. Amazing writing, great acting, beautiful and haunting cinematography... Great production all around. Definitely don't miss that one!

I also really appreciate the unique cinematic quality of Wes Anderson's films. Very distinct style- and he pulls it off so damn well it never seems redundant or gratuitous. I love that they are clearly stories written for film- not trying to emulate reality, just quirky, fun, tragic parables.

Watched Into The Void by Gaspard Noe- twisted as all hell just like all his other films. Dude in Japan has been eating acid and smoking DMT all day right before he gets killed, then the rest of the film is Noe's visual interpretation of the Tibetan Book of the Dead. Way out there. Unique film making to say the least.

I've totally gotten into True Detective, but the season's over and now I'm eagerly awaiting Homeland.

Into the Void is an amazing film, but it really freaked out a young friend of mine. During some of the color sequences, he suddenly grabbed his face, yelled out, "Oh my God I can't take it anymore!" and jumped up and ran out of the room.
Yeah, Robert Blake. Dude is a crazy madman in real life which might have helped him be uber-creepy in that movie.
My dad looks almost exactly like Robert Blake/Baretta.
