I've been doing SOG for a long time bro It Doesn't make that much of a difference. I always pack my tents, most people do because they want to make all there space count. Are you a Mars rep too ? How about some pictures ? My tent is like a goddamn wind tunnel with all the air movement, how come nobody can understand that.

I'm gonna remove all the plants tomorrow for a few hours and take pics just so you guys see it wont make much difference at all. I already tested it when I first bought them, it's fukin hot in here. The lights make a lot of heat !!
Hi Eastcoastjoe,

I'm sorry for your frustration:oops:, let me know what's the temp after you move some plants out and double check of ventilation system. Wish other growers' replies can help you as well!

i run a mars2 nine hundred, shit runs mad hot! and your light looks to be too high. lower to like eighteen inches above the canopy for better results. i have some tops 6 inches from light lol........heres alien isolation from area 51 genetics...

Hi Greengost420, thanks for sharing your pics with us!
thumb.gif

From your pic I think you are using our yoyo hanger right? the light in the pic looks really high, but I think you can loose the hanger a bit, the length is adjustable

distance suggestion:

germination 24-30inches above the plants

veg:18-24 inches above the plants

flower:12-18 inches above the plants

Those pics were from about 7 weeks ago. I'm in week 5 of flower now. They shot up pretty good , there exactly 20 inches from the canopy. I'll get some pics when the lights come on
Looking foward to your pics Eastcoastjoe!

Hello guys, I think I have made people confused about our Mars Pro series, the pics I have posted about Pro series are with Epistar and Cree chips both, I forgot to mention you that. Our Pro series has 4 types, CREE 128LED & CREE 256LED , Epistar 320LED& Epistar 160LED . Cree ones are a little more pricy than Epistar. Cree chips r using 2 kinds of red light, 1 blue and 1 white. Epistar chips r full spectrums, that's why the color you saw are more than 6 kinds.... sorry for my limited English, sometimes I really envy the people who grow up in English-speaking country:oops::(
Anyway, hope this announcement may clear up your confusion

Some growers are complaining about the heat in tent, it may be from our light, but also maybe because of too tight space or ventilation system got wrong set or filter got stuck... theoretically speaking,LED does heat less than HPS, but when you keep the light on over 20 hours continully , it can be hotter, as "law of energy conservation" , it's reasonable. So it needs people to set well the ventilation, and be sure the size of tent is fit. If it's really something wrong with our light, we will certainly fix it for you. we have 1 year warranty. :pompous:
I don't know if any guy had used other brand Led Grow light, cuz if you compare the heat all the companies LED produce, you will see they are more or less the same... But good thing is, LED is developing by technology development, I hope one day LED companies will satisfy more customer's requirments.

I am having heat issues also but I have decided I have too much light or too little tent. When I go to the mars hydro site and look at the combo packages that come with a light and a tent, the tent that comes with the same wattage light that I have is bigger than my tent. I have a 1200 watt light in a 3x3 tent. Their 1200 watt light deal comes with a 4'9"x4'9" tent. So I am just assuming that the little extra area would bring my temp down those few degrees that I need.

Well I thought it was the filter but the top of my tent still reaches 90 with it off and the extraction fan running on full and intake running full blast. I cant find any specs online for my 1200 watt light to see what the minimum cfm and tent size should be, anyone have a calculator or formula link?
Hi 3N1GM4,
welcome.gif

I'm replying to your last question right now :p, and yes I was going to tell you the coverage size of Mars II 1200W is 4.9'x4.9' ,which is the maxium size, 4.6'x4.6' is recommended.
Recently we are updating our product specs, we will put it on our website in the next days!

The actual power of our Mars Pro series:
Cree 128 LED: 320W~350W
Cree 256 LED: 640w~660w
Epistar 160LED: 360W~390w
Epistar 320LED: 720W~750W

I didn't have a chance to empty tent but I already know the outcome, they run hot. I double checked and I am running a smaller tent then what you suggest for the wattage so that has to play a part. I didn't mean to be argumentative and I'm sorry.

For the record I like the light a lot. It works really good for what it is and plants look great. I just wasn't expecting to deal with all this heat. I will try s bigger fan next run. I did get to take a few flower pictures for you though. I will be sure to update soon. I'm going to play around with the canopy distance from the fixture as well. I saw you say 12-18 inches is ok for flower. I am around 20 so maybe I'll move them a bit closer.

Beautiful girls!!
circle-of-love.gif

yes, 12'~18' should be the best distance for flowering. I understand you didn't mean to bash our company, I'm really sorry if this light your got is hot, I will mention abt this to my maneger...I believe LED light is developing by the technology .

Really glad to know your plants still grow great, and thanks for your support to our light! Wish to see more beautiful pics from you by its growing!

ahahaha, a little embarrassing to mention another brand here:shy::D... but It's ok, it's an open discussion!;)

Yeah, autum is coming, it's a good news

im running the m2 1600w and i like it alot but...they needed to make this fixture bigger like 3 feet x 3 feet instead of less than 2 x 2. i did see a little bit of bleaching when running the buds closer than 10 inches which was unavoidable for me lol.it gets hot but not as hot as any of my 600hps.someone on here said once that 400watts of light will produce X amount of heat no matter what light source you use,or same would apply if using 1000 watts of light it will still be x amount of heat generated.im starting to believe that theory lol

hello, this is the photo about my tent...my strais are bornt few days ago and i wanna show you the temperature (celsius degrees during light off and light on(fan on) do you have any suggestion?i think the temperature is a little hot cuz outside here is still really hot!
