First Time Grow Diary In The Uk

Not a lot,I've a fourteen year old lad,a 4 year old girl and a nearly two years old boy.so you can imagine.like a full time job at the nut shop.most days I need sectioning running ragged after this lot.what bike you got?we got a couple of old lambrettas.used to like me dirt bikes.sounds like you need to make a better barrier on top of your pots.siak some perlite in neem or something.then put an inch or so on tops.or that diamaticus earth?I think its spelt like that.if its getting cold.get a little oil filled rad with thermostat on.£25.works a treat.better than them stupid bar ones out the grow shop.rhis is my first time with some autos,I got them as an in between crop.i mixed up some soil yesterday.I brought some called eco bison terra.its polish.looks good got trichaderma?in it already.it holds water a lot though.so I broke up an old coco brick,and some perlite.done 5 soil 3 coco 2 perlite.looks lovely now.gonna stick me popped seedlings in it as is.then mix some ewc in before setting me main pots out.gonna try some of biowars beneficials this time.anyway,gotta do school run.chat later...

Not too bad. Got some issues with a pure indica I'm growing. The other strains are fine. Think its N+ leaves are breaking their backs bending over. All part of the learning curve lol. What you got growing ?

Testers mainly in bloom.
bodhi testers:-nepali og x goji f3,urkle x omg plus yeti f3,exo cheese,gg4,nl & colorado kush.
in veg iv got sunshine sherbet x plat gsc,cherry pie x ghash,blackberry bubba ogers,blackberry dream,sour patch kiss,goji og,illuminati stardawg,gg4 s1 & thunderbud.

whats this indica your havin trouble with?are u saying the leaves are clawing?that does sound like too much N so your on the right track by the sounds of it.cut down on grow for a couple of feeds or even cut it out completeley for a couple of feeds to see how that goes.are they in bloom?

Iv just flipped em for flower 10 days ago but no flowers yet. They aren't even showing sex yet. I mean the leaves are literally breaking their spines to fold over. Not just the tip. It started with a clawing tip. It's just one if the three afghani#1 strain I have going. I have 5 other strains doing very well. They haven't been fed as yet except for cal and mag given separately. Mag I foliar sprayed. I have fed the other strains but these have been super dark green since about a week old. The other 2 ain't great bit they are ok compared.
Omg thats a mouthful all them strains lol but they sound good. Sorry I'm a girl I like nice sounding names. I was interested in growing cherry pie...I can just about get that one lol. Any good? So does that mean that the strains you are testing aren't yet available? Sorry if I'm being dumb.
One pic is the rest of some of my grow at about 3 weeks old from seed other 2 are pics of the leaves in question. Sorry they are a bit shit.

I would say,although im no expert,that they have an excess of nitrogen.like you suspected.i have a plant doing the exact same and im just holding back the grow nutes.thats really all i really can do.
yes testers means theyr not available to buy yet and may never be depending on how the strain does in tests.however there are some lets say less than totally reputable seed co,s(i say seed co coz theyr not breeders imo) that release strains while tests are still going or before theyv even happened which defeats the purpose.some seed co,s dont even do tests atall!the point me saying all this is really to point out it wasnt a dumb question.imo a new grower cant ask a dumb question.your trying to learn so asking "dumb questions" is one of the ways we learn.i gotta say though you seem to have atleast a decent understanding of plants.on my first grow id have had no clue what a clawing leaf would mean.infact i wouldnt have thought it meant anything atall!lol.

It's my second grow lol my last one....well it ended up great but god damn what a stress it was. I made sure I educated myself. I want to do the best I can for my ladies. I don't know if you've heard of Mandala seeds but don't go near em. The seeds I have this run off them not only have some kind if virus but the growth is awful. They did get some cal and I think they have took up extra N because of it like they do after cal but just a bit too much. I'm not feeding at the minute and I think some of the new growth is getting better.
Well I'm glad to have that info about seed testing and some co's not testing. Thanks for that.
Have you got a current grow diary up? Iv not bothered this time.
I flipped em about 11 days ago. But they aren't even showing sex on the regular seeds. The fem seeds are tho.

Yellow ones,sorry,I dive in half way through k.i missed ya say u got hooking down also.Are they folding down the centre as well a bit?like a taco.ive been getting similar to this.trying everything.less N was my first bet.found a solitary bug on leaf,sprayed em down.5 days later find one more.sprayed again.now some roots come away in my hand.looked under scope and I'm sure there's a tiny worm,grub thing on there.tiny.going to get something to plunge roots into and stronger spray.cant afford to lose no more.hope its nothing serious with yours.hopefully it is just cut out some N maybe?

I have FG's. Well I won't have once iv put my BTi on em. It's a N+ prob due to the heavy cal feed I gave. Only this indica has gone like this. If you look at the leaf it's grown kinda sideways it's that bad. No lil claw for me lol. New growth is finally coming thru straight but still a lil bit dark. I'm not feeding at all yet. I changed the soil recipe this time around and I think it's a bit hot for the indica.
You should have snapped a pic of your crawly thing. The stuff iv bought is called snake killer as it kills all worms pillars and maggots. I'm full organic and don't want any chemicals near my grow unless it's desperate times. I hope you get em sorted. It doesn't sound good your losing roots like that.

Nah hap,they ain't flying mate.ive only found one little tiny earwig shape thing.off white colour.sprayed em down.found another one yesterday.I've had stunted growth for ages.root came away in my hand.scoped it.little tiny worm,maggot looking thing on it.no infestation everywhere.I check religiously.thought it was thrips.now with the root thing I'm not so sure.might bin all the stunted ones,and keep me new ones in soil.they look good still.what you think they are hap?
