Lookin good as usual six, what kind of cobs are you going to use in there?Find myself more and more looking at different lighting tech.
still dont get alerts on this fuckin thread ?whatever, hey fw the lights im building are cree cxb 3590 chips with round pin style passive heat sinks so i dont need cooling fans like mars or other led panels use.plus im running them lighter than their max current which will keep them even cooler and more effecient.theres a ton of options for driving these and also for the cobs but im using the latest chips and meanwell drivers.just building my own fixtures with angle aluminum and wiring all the shit up has taken me some time.plus making time to empty a spot in my garden so i can remove some cooltubes and hang these fuckers up.im close but its my busy season now so i barely have time to water these past few weeks.shoulda done this shit in december lol.heres what i have so far.these are all on dimmers and at 50% they are bright as hell.im mixing spectrums a little as well running 3500k and 3000k chips.i might build a few 5 light panels with a mix of 2x 3500k 2 x 3000k and 1x 2700k if i can find the 27k somewhere.

these are some of the drivers im using for the first batch
IMG 0789

and these boxes will dim the panels ,im setting them up to be grouped in 3's so 3 panels per plug/outlet.they are just like digital ballasts, they will recognize any voltage from 100 to 305.i will run them at 240,they are slightly more eff there.
Heatsinks IMG 0810

heatsinks are pre drilled for cree 3070 and the 3590 ideal holders and those outter holes are tapped for screwing to the frames.

hi Six ,do you think you'll ever give up growing using HPS lighting,,,,,you seem to getting right in to LEDs now ,,,,mac
mornin maxwell, naw i dont think ill give up the hps and mh in flower.but if i get my way i will be using about a 50/50 split of led and gavita in my new shop, and maybe more like 60%led and 40% hid.i think having some gavitas in the room will keep heat levels where they need to be and all these lights do have dif spectrums they cover so mixing makes sense to me.but i cant say never because led is advancing so fast now we might see a really great chip that has it all like uvb built in and even more photons then whats out now.

Badass brother!Ive also been searching around for more efficient lighting options,Ive never been an LED guy but ill try most things once, lol.I dig the DIY,How much to build per light and what wattage of HPS do they replace?
Ive been eyeing these after i saw a grow journal here from one of the new members from dank den,the guy who makes them is also a member here.

Only thing i dont like is the price, lol. It seems every new thing that comes along whether its DE,315cmh or LED comes with a big price tag to play.If the savings are right maybe ill try my hand at DIY'ing a couple too.50/50 split of DE vs CMH/LED is kind of where im headed too.
