I'm guessing that's a KW lamp there I noticed you can grow considerably bigger colas with a KW.

Limonene mentioned earlier he was running 5kw and I'm sure I saw 5 parabolics on one of his other shots so this would make sense.

You can still get epic colas with 600w but the KW takes the biscuit I love it ;)

Those autos are really good smoke, at least what I've grown so far, was with the potency almost on paar with photos except for one. Tasts and smells were always great too. But like I said I grow them for fun and to fill my jars when they get low. And they look nice ;)

12/12FS can be good for cycling thru different strains quickly etc, also they yield more than autos most of the time lol

Not an auto fan don't understand why you would run them indoors where you can control photoperiod.

Ruderalis has no place in my growroom except maybe in a potnoodle tub in the veg room for kicks.

Outdoors I would try it but I'd feel dirty doing it lol, would prefer to use far red lights to force proper cannabis into flower a month early and greenhouse grow.

I think of Auto's as the equivalent of my first tool kit with the plastic drill you got as kid with cheese being a Dewalt ;)

Makes sense to me . I got one 600 w and one 1000 w running , and the plants under the 1000 w are doing a lot better than the 600 w. My plan was to keep swapping them around once a week , but it proved to be to much work handling fully grown plants like that , or maybe me to lazy ,,, lol , anyway , just a few days more now ,,,,

Like I said before, i put an auto or two in there with my photo plants and just let them do their thing while on 18/6. They normally finish before flip since I usually veg for 2- 2,5 month. But this time I screwed a bit with popping those autos a week later and I intended to veg for another two weeks.

Well 166% when I went school which is 11% difference NOT 45% ;)

600w produce ~90,000 lumens (Some dual spec claim 95,000) and 1kw produce 140,000 lumens for HPS I can't remember the MH figures.

Obviously Lumens is only useful comparing similar lights but comparing HPS to HPS at different wattages they are quite useful.

Ok then take in the loss of lumens into the equation through the distance from the plant canopy and light distribution and u will find that a 600 is nearly twice as efficient as a 1000w when all factors are taken into account a cheap light meter and temp meter will show u this that is unless u have hoods that will take all the hot air and there is loss of lumens through the extra glass so all said and done 600 are more efficient

I've tried pm on riu and I've tried his old personal email he gave me about 8 yrs back but no joy .. need a word with him ;)

no sorry mate, he got himself a new woman a year or so back n virtually disappeared, still logs into RIU every 6 months or so tho but doesnt s3eem to post much these days
