Oh, yeah, for sure! You know the people who supply dispensaries are, for the most part, just trying to get their shit out there ASAP in order to maximize profits. Having said that, is GSC a strain that should be getting crossed with every fucking halfway decent male that people have laying around? I say no. It's good, but not something that people should be in a hurry to hybridize (is that a word? Haha).

Like I said a while ago, I'm just really fucking sick of seeing "Cookies This" and "Cookies That." It's bullshit and it's just another example of people buying into hype. Michael Bolton won a Grammy and sold like ten million records. Have you ever bought or even willingly listened to a Michael Bolton album?

Maybe the point of this whole thread is,"Think for yourself...." If you're interested in the shit that everybody seems obsessed with, more power to you. I personally am interested in other things.

Also gotta say: consider the consequences that of all of these rushed polyhybrids might have on the effect of the cannabis gene pool as a whole. Things can go real wrong, real quick. We need to think bigger than,"What can I get out there as quickly as possible so I can make some money...?"

Unless all you care about is money....

TBH, I don't really have much desire to grow gsc...there are a crapload of strains that are just more interesting to me personally. I root for the underdog, what can I say. There are enough people devoted to growing whatever the current rage is, will stick to growing out the lesser knowns:)

Word. Grow shit that ain't out there. Or, fuck, do whatever you wanna do hahaha!!!! I ain't judging. If somebody loves GSC, it's not my place to say,"Bullshit...." (Obviously). All I'm saying is I'm distressed by seeing all these GSC hybrids. There's a lot of good shit out there.

And also: fuck money.

Most heavy smoking long time growers I know prefer the good chems, diesels myself included. I grow the cookies and a lot of other stuff as well but I'm not a huge fan. The main thing I like about hyped strains is that the general pot smoking community gobbles them up for me. Cookies is a great plant for a grower looking to move herb

Ok I bet you can help me. I'm going to be moving herb as you put it. I'm on my first grow and its an indoor grow closet with 16 superponics sites. I plan on going with the zig zag method on the net pot sites to glove the plants more room to grow out n better access to the light. So I germinated 10 GSC seeds. All 10 sprouted.

Can you give me any type of estimate of yield per plant man? It would really help me out. I know yields vary per grower/grow method/plant/etc....but if you could just estimate on the low to medium range that would be great.

I don't comment much here anymore...but hey...the coffee is hitting me hard this AM...so thought I'd share my experience with GSC.... ;-)

Straight up.....it's your first grow. Don't expect to be slinging much weed about. Experience and >consistent< yields come with (much) time spent and the right strains and a dialed in room.

I only grew the Forum cut twice. The yields were poor. IMO...if you get an oz per gallon of soil in your pots you will be >>>>totally killing it<<<< with this cut. My yields were like 1/2 of that, FWIW...and for me...the smoke was only so-so. It reminded me of many plants I let go over the years that were sweet smelling and slightly minty but nothing special. Her only good trait for me was the FROST. She was definitely a frosty bitch.

Other than the low yield, the whole "well..you just didn't grow her right" (when she was in a room full of other strains that all performed well time and time again) turned me off on her for good. It was like growing Alien gear and not feeding them with the required feed schedule that was claimed to be "bred into the plant" and was reportedly (by some) needed for good results. What a fuckin gob of cum....but hey....there sure wasn't any shortage of swallowing here just the same...

I'm sure there's kill GSC out there. For me, the cut I ran (from a very respected source) just wasn't worth my time. I hope you have a different/better experience.....though as time has gone along and this cut has been whored out so many times...who knows if 99.9% of the representations truly have anything to do with the original?

Talk about a bottleneck in the gene pool.... in all my years of growing and forums I can't remember so many growers stuck on one plant for so very long.

don't waste your time with girl scout cookies, if you got a small setup.. they yield very low weight . there are plenty of seeds that will give you good potency , taste as well as weight

I agree with @scoop Dont get ahead of yourself. Just worry about growing the best weed you can. The yields will follow. Hopefully haha.

I am not one to follow trends or hype, and I have not grown the gsc, but I have smoked some stellar flowers ... And in my opinion , if grown right , gsc is a top strain. I know everybody has different chemistry and the effects will vary from person to person , but it was the best tasting weed I have smoked and strong as a motherfucker too. I think most people,haven't gotten a properly grown sample , if they speak negatively on it.. And if you got some at a dispensary , you didn't not get a good sample.

As for the gsc topic,i always see people say it dont yield but the gsc x chem i had from @logic was as dense a bud you could ever imagine. So even if it doesnt look all puffed up like other strains i think the yields are right in line if your going by trimmed weight.plus all those phenos i ran were super easy to trim :)
