The roots looked healthy, the Soil under the plant felt and smelled perfect, the crown was buried a bit but no signs of rot. The problem seemed to be stemming from the original root ball and soil from the initial potting. It was unusually damp, the orig. soil would not clean out of the root ball, maybe from being so root bound before transplanting. I would definitely advise waiting on germinating seeds two or three weeks next year, maybe April 1 st.
Well, wife is home for the weekend. Hope you all have a great one.

Get a trail cam and hang it high with a ladder.not to expensive under 100$
Oooooorrrrrrrr can go to
Firequest.com and the sell a little 12 Guage booby trap.It comes with a blank so no one gets hurt but it will definitely scare whoever opens your gate.
You can place it like 50 yards from your gate so if they come at night it seems like a warning shot.
The dude who showed me about those has one set up with 00buck and it's aimed about chest high at his front and back door . don't do that though lol

Thank you all for the warm welcome!Just a couple of early morning catch ups. I forgot to mention, night before last we were kept up half the night listening to a mountain lion screaming. Sounded way too close. The bears don't bother me...they will choose to run away if possible. The mountain lions are hardly ever seen, but I know they are always here.
The other thing I wanted to say was a big thank you to all you guys who were such gentlemen in welcoming my wife. To find a group of people like you on the Internet..., priceless. May the heavens shine on you all.
With the price of ammo now days, I can no longer afford to give them a warning shot.Wow.. Thats awesome.. Saved that site.. LOL.. Nothing like BOOM..
Agreed Blanks would be best... hahahah

Unfortunately with guns and the way of the human race. I think if you have a gun and present it on someone you should have real ammo even firing warning shots. You need to be prepared for any scenario in those situations. The sad thing I see these days even with the police. Everyone shoots to kill and not just wound!
