Yea I'm sure the time off has been nice. I know you're still experiencing some pain, are you feeling up to snuff as far as going back? I know you mentioned having an understanding boss so I'm sure that will help you ease back into things. I miss having a close relationship with my boss. I worked for the same company for over 16 years before making a move to where I'm at now. Much different working for a large faceless corporation. I'm sure that windfall harvest your about to take in will help heal what ails ya :smoking: I hope you make a smooth transition back into the swing of things as soon as its time bro. As for me, I've been working 84 hours a week since the 4th of January.... Except the 2 days I've had off. I finally feel like I hit the wall lol. I'm getting Mon and Tue off and can't wait haha. I miss my family beyond words and I also need to get some work done in the garden. Sorry for rambling on but with a schedule like that you guys are the only friends I "see" ......sad I know hahahahaha
I am still feeling pains.
I'm almost sure it's from those tacks.
Most people have them and never feel them.
As days and weeks have gone by I still hit new mile markers.
I used to leap up my house stairs like 5 or 6 steps tall. I've always been a springy jumping person. Today for the first time not paying attention and from old habits I did it and I made the leap I was impressed.
Today I hit my before surgery walking speed of 3.5mph on the treadmill.
And I took my first try at running.
It wasn't full stride running but was a start in the right direction.
The past week I have been working out. Day on day off. I do full body workouts . ive always been one for all over balance And stamina.
Last time i went hard with my full body routine I spent 6hrs working out every other day (laid off) and went from 160lbs to 185 in 2 months. With no change to my diet. I was like whoa this works too good lol. Went back to work stopped working out and fizzled to 175
My current easing back into things routine.
Starting with body weight mostly and going gently, taking my time.
Situps 10
Holding a midway situp and twisting left and right 10
I'm doing planks to build up my obliques since they pull my groin area tight when I cough, poop, sneeze etc. 45 seconds each side
I'm doing just the leg portion of bicycle crunches for those lowest abs and sides. 10 each leg
Pushups 10
Dips 10
Then starting with 10 lb weights
Squats 10
Deltoid raises front+side 10 ea
Military press 10
Shoulder shrugs 10
Bent over row (lats) 10
Bicep curls 15 lbs 10
This workout is broad and light.
And has improved my feelings lately.
I'm considering this my physical therapy and if it helps I'll be cheesin.
I'll be seeing doc in a little over a week. So I'll see if he clears me for work (probably will to get me out of his hair)
You are correct my boss is understanding and willing to work with me. He knows I'm a hard ass worker by myself unlike anyone he has seen before. And when he let me run a job I made him money everytime.
Not to toot my own horn.
But he knows I'm a good investment for his company compared to what's in America's work pool.
I showed up to work everyday On time.
I'm loyal as all hell.
I communicate well with other trades and establish good repoor with them so they are willing to work with me.
I put in an hour or 2 extra some days (not for him but because I am passionate about what I do).
If I mess up bad I comp my hours to fix it. I like to stand behind my own work.
I am completely honest And direct with him.
One day he had me come outside and asked me if I get high. I looked right in his eyes and said yes just weed though nothing else not even drinking and it never happens at work. I think that put me on another level with him right there.
Lol the windfall harvest all 3 plants I'm hoping close to 1 lb. That's 4x what I got last harvest :dead:.
I can't even imagine that much of the beast I may go insane or my heart will explode.
Nonetheless 1lb of weed coupled with working again means little time to smoke. It should last me quite a long time. Freeing up time to start an outside garden.
I'm glad to hear you get time with your family. I know how it feels to push all year and everything you love seems so far away. Enjoy your days off bro. Your family will.
No worries bro ramble on.
Us farm family are your friends cause you can walk around your house naked and still fit us in on your phone lol. If it were real life you wouldn't have me over at that time.
The world is connected even if we are all apart.
