Uggghhhh....I'm gutted. I don't even want to talk about it but I have to :shifty: I went to check over the girls while my water was filtering last night (damn brita pitcher :mad:) I don't know how I didn't see it til now but the whole pH fiasco reared its ugly fucking head. Three of the 4 big girls hermied on me. All over the bottoms. I found a few seeds starting to grow even. Judging by the maturity of the seeds it happened right around the time of the pH issue. 2-4 weeks ago. The tops don't look affected but its only a matter of time as I found open pollen sacs.......plucked as many as I could find and had to pull some lowers off of the cannalope haze as she was the most affected. I misted them while i was working on them. That explains why they're not really fattening up as much as they should. As soon as I noticed it, it was like a punch in the gut. I know its all a learning process , but nobody really wants a bunch of seeded bud. Now I'm not sure I'm gonna take them to 10 weeks. Might just start flush this week and pull em in a week and dry em in there, scrub the room and start round 2. The starfighter x lbl's and the spliffs didn't have any nanners or seeds from what I could see. The holy grail and rks had a few on the lowers and the cannalope haze was pretty bad on the bottom. I still don't get how I missed that much. I know I've been rushing and I should have been more vigilant after the pH pen thing. I know I'm rambling but it really caught me off guard and I need to let it out... Guess I should order some bubble bags. :banghead::dead:

Sorry to hear.

Now you know in the future to run just a few at a time until you find the stable ones.

Consider this round weeding out the bad ones.

You can take cuts of the stable ladies for next round.

Then your next round will finish without a hitch.

I don't know if I can really blame the genetics for this one. Based on what I know now I was feeding at a super low pH for about a month, in flower :sweating: When I mix my nutes up it comes out a a perfect 6-6.2 pH. With the old pH pen I was adding 3-5 tsp of pH down to get that reading. My best guess is that I was at about a 4-5 pH from the begging of flower :banghead:

But some of your plants had no problem right?

Those are the ones that can handle the stresses better.

Even if it was your fault, it just reveals the weakness of those pheno' s.

So keep the ones running strong in your environment and guarantee it doesn't happen again.

Thunderfudge stress tests on his genetics to weed out the weak.
Some breeders don't do this and it gets passed onto the consumer.

Or sometimes it just hasn't been fixed yet.

Good point. All 3 of the starfighter x lbl didn't Hermie, and those were regs. The 3 that did are D.N.A strains, and were fems. I have cuts of all ready to go again, I may give them a second chance, ill be honest, I feel blind sided and don't know what's best now. The cannalope haze was most affected but I chalked that up to it being 95% sativa as they're supposed to be finicky. I'm gonna have to mull it over today and make a decision ASAP. Looking back now I should have caught it but lack of experience, a friend passing, pops going to the er, working 80+ hours a week....I'm just a humble student and you guys haven't steered me wrong yet so I'm open to suggestions

Wow! Sorry brother,,, I did the same shit.. I told wisher i was gonna rip them out the buckets that second.. he had to talk me down off the cliff... It was dank shit tho and i got 400 qp, and 4 went in 5 days... you can still get rid of it, just have to take 100 an ounce :(

I think he is only supplying himself.

Which means his first few rounds are pheno hunts for stable gals.

Once found he will start churning em out without a hitch :cool:

No lie brotha, I almost cut em all right then and there. I guess the damage is done now so I should at least take em to week 8. That's the same number I was thinking per zip :mad:

Yea paw paw Zan is right, I have a few near and dear aliens that are interested in my endeavors. But that is just a by product of doing this for me. :cool::blackalien::greyalien::shockedninja:
I know you would lol. I'll make my share of canna coconut oil but I don't really smoke concentrates. I wish I knew someone that I could donate rso to around here.

And they were so frosty the aliens saw that as equal to seeds in the fight for good and evil... u know most commercial bud has been knocked around a lot before u get to buy it.. Fresh dried properly cured bud has bag appeal even with some seeds,, just doesnt carry the monetary value

I know that feeling bro! It sucks a lot but you did the right thing by misting and cutting off what you can. I know you said the pH fiasco stressed them out and that is probably true BUT like R said there were those that did not hermie from the stress. Those are the keepers! The strong ones that can take a beating is what we all want right? I wouldn't run anything that hermied again personnaly. Imagine if you dedicated another run to questionable genetics and they hermie again! I would be livid. just my 2 cents on that.

Here's my opinion on if you should let them finish out to week 9-10 instead of 8. I think you should because would you rather have almost ripe flowers with some partial seeds, or would you rather have ripe flowers with partial seeds? I'd guess ripe right? That way if you decide to process it in anyway you'll still have quality resin. It's also possible that the seeds are only toward the bottom as well. Any pollen at this point won't have enough time to create a ton of seeds anyway so I think you're about as seeded as you'll get.
