the problem isnt gavitas
you said your ceilings are 8ft
-3ft =5ft-3ft plant=2ft ground clearence

so you build a table and set a tray on it that sits 1.5' off the ground
you can start your clones it Rockwool
then transplant to 6" rockwool blocks and when your plants reach 10-12" flip to flower
they will hit 3' with 2.5' of space
perfectly fine
when the plants grow up to the light they get used to the intensity

totally understand your thought process there... In soil that is prob a good idea, in coco, not so good.. But thats part of the journey... im gonna show you something... @incogneato you still got a pic of the fan leaf kidnapping and torture pic in the archives? We all were newbies once.. You are gonna do great!

I have build the table and got the trays but I was thinking to use the reservoir space to grow 4 feet tall ladies. Either put them on the trays 3 inches off the ground or fill the trays with Coco run to waste

fill the trays with coco will not work....it will be a mess that will end in disaster
4' ladies dosent give you any more bud than 3' ladies
because of the reverse square law of diminishing light
I would suggest putting the res to the side and lowering your table as suggested but only enough to fit a low profile tote under there to catch runoff
use 1/2gal square pots for your plants in coco
but please what ever you do....DO NOT fill the tray with coco
1/2-1 gal pots
drip to waste
there are many ways to skin a cat
if you had warehouse ceilings I would say grow the plants as big as you can
but in a limited height it is best to think more plants smaller in size
If you flip @12-15" you will end with 3' plants
I am growing 3' plants with a ceiling height of 6'-7"
I run COB led's
and they are really intense as intense as Gavitas
the only difference is the Gavitas radiated heat will cook your plants

Will it be to much if I hit them with 1000 ppm? As suggested by the manufacturer. It states anything over 4 leafs should fallow the recipe

yeah man that should be fine the only thing is you want to work up to that
in increments
when I run my plants I literally hit them with 1.5ec right off the bat....even as seedlings
I run coco
I dont believe in the whole concept of higher and lower and for mid flower and all that

but since you are tunning like 500ppm
do that for 3 days then bump to 650 for 3 days then bump to 800 then 1k
so the plant gets ised to it
if your plant is taking 500 and then all of a sudden they get 1k they will more than likely go into shock

Wow 1.5 ec at seedling
How about when you flower ?
So my understanding is you keep raising it until they tell you to back off

Fact! most feed charts are at full strength, which might be 2 ec,, so 1.5 starts and you got between 1.5 and 2 ec... I am running 1.6 in flower right now.... I might not get above that as ive been practicing less is more ideology... Where you decide your plants will let you know and its a matter of personal prevalence,,, Personally i bet he could keep it 1.5 the whole time till harvest if he wanted..

I wonder what nuts Wisher is using
in flower I am using Veg+Bloom by hydroponic research
for veg I use Botanicare CNS17

I start and run through the entire program at 1.5
but this is how I do
not everyone is like me
I have found that this works
I was having trouble with Veg+Bloom which is supposed to be a 1 part powder
I have figured out that this nute does work ......once the coco has been conditioned
meaning the coco gets worked in and fills the nutrient bank
then I use Veg+Bloom which works great

but for years I have used Botanicare CNS17

this is my Botanicare recipe per gal
Silica Blast 4ml
CNS17 Grow/Bloom 14ml (depending on veg or flower)
Pure Blend Tea 5ml
Hydroguard 2ml

that gets me to 1.5ec with a ph 6.0

has worked for a long time

this works from seed to chop

also people that use Jacks Hydro

use a 3/2/1 recipe right from the start as well
never ramping up or down
which I believe brings it to somewhere between 1.5-2.0
