it is all the feds. my doctor says they are making it harder every month . use to get 3 month scrip's with 3 refills. them days are gone.

Yes and no.. For the doctors its all insurance and political bullshit red tape.. Its more expensive for them to keep a DEA license # and shit, more hoops to jump thru if they want to prescribe CS 2 and 3 meds and shit..

Docs just want you to come in spend 5 mins acting like they care and listen and then write whatever you ask for and out the door to the next guy..

Least thats how it is for me :D

There's a doc in the next town over that supposedly writes scripts for anything you want. Trick is, you can't use your insurance for the office call and you can only get your meds through the pharmacy he tells you to go to and you have to pay cash for the meds. Sounds kinda funky to me.

use to have a speed /diet doctor. there was always a long line ,but he moved them through fast. and you had to go to the pharmacy next to him. No other pharmacy would fill them . The pharmacy had 3 extra girls on hand the days Dr Stack was in his office.

Morning ofc. I have to go to the saw bones every month for my refill. Bad part is i have used them for years. I haven't been eating them except when i go to pt and i need one then. If i can keep from taking them i think i'll stay on this road. My knee still hurts as well as my back. The shoulder is healing but last night was the first night without the sling, this morning was a slow start fore sure but i'm up and moving without pain meds.

I'm half assed tempted to grow some flowers and bypass the docs and big pharma. I think all natural would be a better idea.

Tried it my self, You need a fucking ACRE of poppys to really get back anything.. And our seasons fucking SUCK for growing them too..

But if you do try, drop the seeds when theres still a little snow left on the ground as they like that, let them sow themselves.

But yeah the yield from a small garden won't even be worth the effort put into it..

I've seen on tv where it is used for a lot of things. The last one i saw was for altitude sickness. Native people around the plants are always chewing the leaves. Hell it may be once they chew them they may just not give a shit.
Yeah, I saw the one where the locals (Peru?) used it for that. Stuff looked like it gave 'em meth mouth. I wonder if you could make it into a paste and make a topical out of it? Fuck, I'm about ready to try anything. Got a good Mexican mud connection?:)

Would it be good for spinal pain? I'm not looking for a buzz, just some pain relief.

https://www.tni.org/en/primer/coca-leaf-myths-and-reality

Coca is a plant with a complex array of mineral nutrients, essential oils, and varied compounds with greater or lesser pharmacological effects – one of which happens to be the alkaloid cocaine, which in its concentrated, synthesized form is a stimulant with possible addictive properties.

The coca leaf has been chewed and brewed for tea traditionally for centuries among its indigenous peoples in the Andean region – and does not cause any harm and is beneficial to human health.

The traditional method of chewing coca leaf, called acullico, consists of keeping a saliva-soaked ball of coca leaves in the mouth together with an alkaline substance that assists in extracting cocaine from the leaves.

When chewed, coca acts as a mild stimulant and suppresses hunger, thirst, pain, and fatigue. It helps overcome altitude sickness. Coca chewing and drinking of coca tea is carried out daily by millions of people in the Andes without problems, and is considered sacred within indigenous cultures. Coca tea is widely used, even outside the Andean Amazon region. Coca has an established use spread among all social classes, in two Northern provinces of Argentina. There is an increasing use of coca flour as a food supplement.

Because of its stimulant effect coca leaf was originally used in the soft drink Coca Cola. In 1903 it was removed and a decocainized coca extract is one of the flavouring ingredients.
more:
Coca leaf has certainly been an object of controversy for centuries, and has been alternately praised and condemned. Used in its whole form, coca leaf is a fundamentally benign herbal material which provides vitamin A, riboflavin, iron and calcium, and may also help to regulate blood glucose, thus enhancing metabolism and helping to reduce the tendency toward adult onset diabetes and obesity. Coca leaf is also rich in beneficial antioxidants, including ones that help to protect the integrity of blood vessels. But its concentrated, isolated alkaloid cocaine is a menacing superstar on the global illicit drug stage, and has taken the lives of thousands. This gives testimony to the fact that tinkering with nature beyond a certain point can prove disastrous. Coca tea is good for you, but cocaine can kill you. Today annual South American cocaine production is estimated to exceed one million pounds, much of which goes right up the noses of US citizens.

Here in Maine the state took over and told the doctors how much they're allowed to prescribe, not quite sure how the law-makers here decided they know better than doctors what I need but....
I was being prescribed 8 pills a day for pain, (suffice to say it's a strong pain med), now, because of the state, I only get 2 a day. Fuckers.

Sounds like a guy trying to steer around some bullshit being implemented by our government. In other countries you can walk into a pharmacy, (of sorts), and buy whatever you need in whatever quantities you need them in.

I watched a show once about all these people that had to go and work in the mines all day and the most essential thing they brought with them was coca leaves to chew on. You'd see them all lined up to go in and they're sitting around chewing on the leaves getting ready for their shift. Crazy shit.

The airport tower hears a call saying may day may day then one of the crew's phone starts to ring. When he answers it he hears may day may day. The crewman says calm down and tell me what is going on? The voice says before we took off for my flying lesson the pilot told me he had the tower on his phone. Well the pilot has died and i'm flying at 20,000 feet and upside down. The crewman says how do you know your at 20,000 feet? The voice says because that is what the dail gauge says. The crewman says ok good. Now how do you know your upside down? The voice comes back and says because the shit that was in my pants is now coming out my shirt collar.
