I typically grow twice a year. I always keep my soil alive and healthy. I have no need to grow year round, it's just for personal, to gift out and to trade with grow buddies.Yeah that was me. :smoking: I don't agree with ppl who don't grow but research the piss out of it and takes every ones opinions and growing styles without ever growing a plant. I have seen it time and again, and sorry to you all but pics or it doesnt happen ;) not past ones just present ones.
And I'm glad @brazel that your preaching organic at least.
What's the height difference in your canopies? What lights you use, brand, wattage, hps or mh?I get it bro. I'm passionate as well. Check my diary. Basically a shout out to all the naysayers in my last post. I've even been told I spread misinformation yet look here.
I will end up spending $400 out the door for this grow.

You're right. Plants could suffer. I did get a 16oz pack of og biowar. Not overstepping my normal routine. But I may drop a tea down the crown this weekend. What's the height difference in your canopies? What lights you use, brand, wattage, hps or mh?
How high you keep them?
Do you have multiple lights to compensate for the difference in your canopy?
Light meter?
How do you like the geo pot bed?
Jeremy at BAS wanted me to use one about four years ago, my only issue was the depth... like ten inches, right?
And quit worrying about your fungus gnats bro! I read about people doing root drench, let soil dry, put sand on top, buying gnat nix ... none of those I'd recommend, microbe btI with your watering and don't worry about them... but yes I know they're annoying. The BTI will keep their populations in check.
Otherwise you're gonna drive yourself crazy!
Like I did trying to get rid of them
Do you use pumice or red lava rock? Also here's another thing that's been knocking on my head. Is there a need to ever add aeration?Keep it coming love, don't stop!
More organic, not sure if any of these are considered bro science
I like to mix myco powder and Azos into my soil, can the first few waterings be with molasses to feed those microbes?? I've never done molasses waterings...is there synthetic type molasses? Also do synthetic ferts ruin soil microbes and bacteria? Hope I don't catch hate but I use Dyna Gro sometimes in vegJust don't use it in teas, don't need to add any simple sugars to teas, simple sugars just feed bacteria. I'd take whatever recipe you're using(keep it to 3 or 4 ingredients max) and brew and water!
Recommended is unsulfured blackstrap. Fulvic acid and aloe would get you to the formula 1 status. I dont do teas. Again i do slurries. Bubble 12 hours but I top dress dregs so nothing is wastedI like to mix myco powder and Azos into my soil, can the first few waterings be with molasses to feed those microbes?? They're both good and give trace elements. Use either. I've used them both.Do you use pumice or red lava rock? Also here's another thing that's been knocking on my head. Is there a need to ever add aeration?
Over time as my organic matter is worked the lava rock will settle to the bottom. By this time wouldn't soil life take the job of keeping soil aerated? I pull my mulch back and my soil moves. Lol. Spring tails, rove beetles, hyoaspis miles, soil mites, worms.
I have no doubts in better organix. I almost don't call it bottled. More like prepared nutrients. Hell they're so fresh. They have to be. Haven't been sitting in a southern states warehouse for years.i use the shit out of oyster shell flour, crab meal, alfalfa, love the stuff, both for my herb and for the 2 other gardens i have,,love the shit out of it,,the oyster shell is really great for tomoto plants, pretty much stops the blossom end rot from lack of calcium,,and the chiton we all know its benifits,,glad to see you using char, first year for me and im impressed with it,my compost pile has bunchs at the moment, need to stir that shit too,,made some LAB and put the leftover rice and curd in there few weeks ago,got all kinds of love growing in that pile ,been putting it off not wanting to disturbe it,,gonna take some the love and put on a screen over top of bowl, got a huge shroom growing out of a tree and gonna see what kind of love i can get from it and the compost pile love,,i do believe in bottle nutrients, cause i make them and store them there, lol,,got my better organix supplies yesterday and damn the herb was happy bitchs this morning,,foilar with the kamino and even did the sweet taters and potato plants ,the be praying for my brother @Ecompost lol
Rad man! Although I don't use lab I'm still stoked for you! When you say you make your own bottled nutes, are you talking about a kelp meal tea or similar or sst?i use the shit out of oyster shell flour, crab meal, alfalfa, love the stuff, both for my herb and for the 2 other gardens i have,,love the shit out of it,,the oyster shell is really great for tomoto plants, pretty much stops the blossom end rot from lack of calcium,,and the chiton we all know its benifits,,glad to see hiyou using char, first year for me and im impressed with it,my compost pile has bunchs at the moment, need to stir that shit too,,made some LAB and put the leftover rice and curd in there few weeks ago,got all kinds of love growing in that pile ,been putting it off not wanting to disturbe it,,gonna take some the love and put on a screen over top of bowl, got a huge shroom growing out of a tree and gonna see what kind of love i can get from it and the compost pile love,,i do believe in bottle nutrients, cause i make them and store them there, lol,,got my better organix supplies yesterday and damn the herb was happy bitchs this morning,,foilar with the kamino and even did the sweet taters and potato plants ,the be praying for my brother @Ecompost lol
What nutrients do you not have in your soil already!? What's fresher than that? How could anything processed be fresh? I take that back it can be freshly processed!I have no doubts in better organix. Oh I'm all set. I can run water only. I was just commenting as a recommendation as a bottled nutrient company. What nutrients do you not have in your soil already!? What's fresher than that? How could anything processed be fresh? I take that back it can be freshly processed!
Just another point of view and questions for my curiosity! And you only learn by questioning at any given moment I can learn something new form my questions and that's rad!
Please don't take this as negative I'm impressed and stoked on your grows
I absolutely agree with that if you're using bottle nutes then this company sounds a lot better then most by what I read on their website. But the name better organix is so misleading.Oh I'm all set. I can run water only. I was just commenting as a recommendation as a bottled nutrient company.
I know your style! And methods! High five!Oh I'm all set. I can run water only. I was just commenting as a recommendation as a bottled nutrient company.
@Ecompost owns it. He's not selling snake oil. His product is the next best thing to being a neem oil and worm shit covered mess of buckets for under amended soil. I did however use half leafgrow compost...big mistake. A couple worm teas got it rolling. Should have started with a solid humus source.I absolutely agree with that if you're using bottle nutes then this company sounds a lot better then most by what I read on their website. Sorry I didn't realize what you were referencing.
