Are those rapid rooter plugs?
These are jiffy 72 plug kits.

You can use whatever you want.... make your cuts..dip it and stick it in wet dirt with a bag over it.

you can shove it in a cup of perlite too

Were the stems purple before you stuck em in the cloner? Had they been sprayed w anything within a week prior to going into the cloner? How much light ya got over em?

Yes I believe the stems were purple before. They haven't been sprayed with anything. The mother had some toxicity issues prior. Probably phosphorus. She been given only water for the last 3 weeks. Wonder why the leaves curled AFTER I put them in the cloner. Did the cloner bring out some stored nutrients?

If you're lights a little too bright it pales them out much faster. The purple stem from the start tho would probably make it harder to root it I'd think. It was lacking something.....

Here u go. Excuse the white powder, it' just takeroot.
Were your stems red all the way though like that when you took the cuts? I know some strains got the red stem

Curling leafs isn't a sign of deficiency. I always had that happen if I give a girl too much nitrogen. It's called the claw.

Yeah it’s not a deficiency it’s called toxicity at that point. Anywho, looks like mag deficiency from the start, how they doing after a few days on the timer, anything?

Clones stems look great but nothing. It's ok though cause at this point I don't have any sign of bacterial growth so the clones not rooting is due to them not being in peak health. I added a few more clones from a different plant saturday. I will take pics and update later when I get home. I think my cloner is going to rock I just gotta get a few more things dialed in.

Seems like plain ole tap ater and h202 are the way to go. Once roots form do I start adding nutes to the res or just keep using plain tap water. Nutes in the rez can cause bacterial growth correct? I use earth juice so my rez would be full of bacteria, making it no longer in the sterile category. I know it's good bacteria but I was wondering since the goal is to keep the rez sterile. Can't use any h202 once earth juice is added. I guess I will use my caps bennies and hygrozyme at this point to keep anything bad at bay.

Ok guys the cloner never came through so I started back with rockwool and dip n grow. I weighed my cubes to makes sure they were properly soaked. I like them to weigh 25 grams. This seems to be ideal. I'm using a dome and petlite. I put about 2 inches of water in the bottom of trey with perlite almost even with the rim. I know the dome should remain closed for 48hrs other than opening for 30 seconds for air transfer. Heat mat is set to 78. I noticed today my rockwool feels saturated and they didn't come into contact with the water in bottom of the trey. How do I keep dome closed for 48 hrs without over saturation of my cubes. Maybe I have too much humidity. In turn producing too much moisture causing the cubes to over saturate. I still don' know what I'm doing wrong to cause too much humidity. Ambient temp is 69 and dome got up to 80. Clones look good, it' just the rockwool is a little too wet. Maybe I will lower my temps to 75, producing less humidity.

If you have a laser heat gun..I suggest checking the actual temps in your dome/res..My Apollo was 10d F LOWER than the The thermostat said..My clones were successful, but rooted slower; now all rooting in between 6-12 days in a simple doomed 72 cell tray w/ heat mat..(now set to 77d F). (Reno gets cold in the winter..LOL)

BTW: I never got anywhere besides root bumps with my DIY cloner..Now about 90%+..KISS..(yes it was always completely sterilized too)

Do u keep ur dome completely closed for the first 48 hrs then open on the third day and remove on the forth. Supposedly this method will produce roots in 5 to 7 days. I think I read to do that from snoofers illustrated rockwool cloning technique. Does that sound correct.

I am in Nevada where the RH in winter is only about 30% in my house, so I leave the dome on for the 1st 4-5 days and then begin opening the vents slowly at first..In a few days, the rockwool begins to dry out, and hopefully roots emerge and begin to seek out water..Then the dome comes off when I see something from the rockwool cube growing.
PS: I use Tap water (sometimes RO if I remember..LOL)..a lil KLN and Silica in the 5.5 PH's water..later on when I see roots, I add a bit of Canna Start to the mix..then into soil..:)

Here's something I read in that snoofer post. He keeps his humidity around 50% inside the dome. Isn't that pretty darn low. Any how this cat is getting roots in 5 to 7 days on almost all strains and 10 days on harder to root strains. If rh was at 50% there wouldn' be any condensation on the dome right?

To be set to 77 and getting that much moisture on the dome, ur room temp has to be in the low 70s/ high 60s

Yep..room temp is about 72d F constant during the day..at night room temps are set at 65d F.
We each have our own ways and whatever works best for you is the way to go. my cuttings do much better at high RH and if I keep my mitts off..they do even better..:p
