Started taking down DaBear today@ 66 daze.

Took all the upper / branches that were flopping a bit. Gonna harvest her over the next couple days.

I love lemon strains. They pinch my nose just right! Those scissors look like u could scrape the grip.

Funny thing about Lemon Skunk, if you research the terpene profile, there’s hardly any limonene. But when I crack the bud jug, you definitely feel the citrus invading your nostrils.

ECSD finally got chopped. Looks like the wait did her good :)

And one of my DIY Petri dishes with “Lions Mane inside” <— Think Intel ;)

I’ve just started playing with agar, I didn’t know it would start growing and actual mushroom? I thought it would just spread mycelium across the agar.

There is a thin coat. Just didn’t expect it to grow a shroom right away lol

I wish I had made the clear lids. Much easier to see what’s going on in the jars. Soon ;)

I haven’t finished processing the small batch the wax pic came from. Started out with 8.5g. Gotta get the after number to see what’s left.

Before I find a place to make a separate post. Maybe someone in here can illuminate.

I started with 8.5g BHO.

I forgot to weigh the beaker so I went with the 1.2 conversion factor that I read somewhere. Basically, 1.2ml = 1g. It’s not a perfect conversion, but it’s close.

I ended up with 11 .5ml carts which is 5.5ml X 1.2 = 4.58g
Subtract the added terpenes .75g = 3.83g.

Even if you skip the conversion...
5.5ml = 5.5g - .75g = 4.75g
That’s a 44.11% loss of product :-O

I kind of hope I’m doing something wrong which means the yield can be improved.

If it was just for me I could live with it.
But...

Anyone have any ideas?

I put a GDP into flower the other day.
Last one was a male.

I didn’t get a clone to take from either one.
Since this girl is showin’ me the goods, I took a small cut from her.

I also moved a hydro Da Bear over to the flower side the other day.
Moved a hydro Blue Dream over to flower today

I put about 4 ECSD cuts in soil over the past week.
Put one ECSD in veg hydro yesterday, and one today.

I have another Blue Dream that can move over to flower any time as well.
Should have just moved her today

Mango is still finishing up @ 63 daze.
Still a crap load of white pistils. Still clear/cloudy :(

Some changed, the trics are all cloudy though. She’s at 74 days now. Mangoes are supposed to be a 9 week strain

After taking the top 4 branches into better lighting, I decided to let her go some more. She’s still a little too green for my liking.

Maybe give her some ice cubes to speed things up a little.

I moved her to the fringe area to make way for the ECSD pictured last.

As you can see she was a little neglected, lower die off. She was repotted and fed a few weeks ago. So into the grinder she goes

Making some Hash Plant carts this week. I’m trying a low heat method to see if I can get a lighter color oil. Trying to keep it amber instead of turning dark.

So far it’s a bigger pain in the ass as it’s taking forever to evaporate the alcohol off :( BUT... I’m getting the desired results so far. I started cooking it down on Friday. Lower temps also means the majority of the original terps will be preserved .

That will lower my cost as I won’t need to buy or hopefully add back as much. As long as I get the desired consistency.

That does look dense! But maybe the one you have is just a later finisher, or more sativa dominant.

do you use a dehydrator on your material before you extract the thc? That will help keep things on the lighter side. I used to do it when I blasted bho. It helped increase the return rate while keeping the shatter or crumble blonde.

Thanks for reminding me of that.

When I first started playing with carts I had some frozen trim that was intended for hash.
I filled my dehydrator to dry out that green freshy. Those first batches came out really nice / shatter.

Since then I've been struggling a bit. I kinda forgot that I did that step in the dehydrator.
I usually just let the trim sit in a paper bag till it's nice and dry. Humidity has been up for quite a while with all the rain :(

I made a crap load of Lemon Skunk BHO a little while ago, it came out a straight up wax :(

On the Mango, I'm kinda figuring it's a bit more Sativa as well.
It's supposed to be a good pain strain. Roughly 70/30 Sat/Ind. or a 100% Indica depending on the breeder :-O
I'm guessing I got the 70/30 breed :( The seed bank I got them from didn't specify.
I hope it still does the deal on pain relief, which I'll settle for sleep too ;)

Still slow roasting the Hash Plant oil.
It getting dark, but it’s a different kind of dark.

There’s probably a better way to do this quicker?

Based on what it looks like at this point, I’m thinking it’s still gonna end up dark. But I’ll retain the majority of the natural terpenes.

Funny thing, my friends all like my carts better than what they can get at the dispensaries already. So I don’t really need to make them better at this point...

But I will

Oh yeah. It might be a coincidence, but I seem to have less aches and pains since I’ve been hitting the Lemon Skunk carts for a few daze now

Taking down the Lemon Skunk today, or at least at much of it as I can. PT is kicking my ass. But at this point it’s a good thing. Therapy is basically making me worse, which is good for my SSD case

Damn, I got a brand new dehydrator and never even thought about using it for flower. D'OH!

It does make quite a difference. Any moisture left in the trim/buds makes it come out waxy.

I have 17 grams of Lemon Skunk wax in the freezer to prove it.

Memory lapses are wonderful aren’t they?

No problem bro. I'm looking into making my own carts myself. Thank you for sharing what you got going on.
I hope it does a good job at picking you up and then bringing you back down. There some really good mango here I think its 50/50. I cant grow any sativa right now. But I love the flavors and smells that sativas put out.
